I've always liked the GT4 it's got the look of a 2 seater, and it was one of the first cars with cab forward design. Nice car enjoy it! Why are you still here? Go out driving!! |

Hi and Happy New Year to all! Congratulations on your purchase! ...I'm not going to mention how jealous I am. I'm also a GT4 fan, they're one of the most affordable Ferraris out there. I think GT4's are great cars, you're a lucky man, hope you enjoy when the weather suits, if your weathers ok....drive it like crazy!!!! Any Ferrari can be said to look great in red, I do agree with all those who say yours looks great in black,it really punctuates the chrome/aluminium window edges. Looks like a nice clean car. My personal opinion is the blues offered on GT4's were great too. Like I said I won't tell you how jealous I am ,But I just might make this a long post.... Can you tell how you purchased your car ,: ie: dealership, private sale, internet adds. etc... I've looked around the net etc.. for for sale adds. and seem to mostly find 1975 models. Congrats. on finding a newer car, is yours series 2 or 3? I hope to able to join the GT4 "ownership club" as soon as possible, I keep looking at nice Lambo. Urraco 's, Bertone's "sister" style for the same period, but they're always P250's and I think they'll be underpowered compared to the GT4. I'll shut up now, I'm still happilly finishing the holliday supply of Heineken, so Cheers, and all the best. |

Hi Dan Welcome to the joys of the GT4 world. Join the Ferrari Owners site at http://www.owners.ferrari.com. Their parts prices are quite decent. Superformance also had them, although he doesn't list them at the moment. Sodacoms (an FC sponsor) might be another place to try. |

Dan, looks great in Black! Nice to see the chrome side mirrors! Elvis' GT4 is also black but he has the knock off rims. Mine is a 75 and is Yellow, thinking of a repaint. What is your Serial #? I want to start a GT4 registry. |

Sweet!! It looks great. Re: Wheels. Apparently 16" rims are the way to go. Getting pretty hard and expensive to find the right TRX tires for the stock rims. I plan to upgrade mine eventually (Still waiting on delivery of my car- shooting for Jan 10). Oh, and I think Hans will probably chip in at some point asking for the serial number for your car for his registry. Good Luck, Dom |

Dan, Congratulations! Your car looks great - never seen one in black before. You might check with Rob Garven... he's an Fchat member with a beautifully restored GT4. His email address is [email protected] |

it was suggested i repost this from my regional section to the general discussion my new 1978 308gt4 dino original with about 50k miles
just got my first ferrari. i am very excited to get on the road this spring. im interested in participating in club events and i am curious to know what the other f-owners in my area are like. i am 32 and inventor/engineer. not real into the show-off aspect of a ferrari, simply appreciate the engineering, style (i have a bertone gt4). and of course i love speed. part of my work is designing sport and military parachutes and systems(i have clocked up to 260mph in freefall). whats your story? sincerely, dan<><> brooklyn, ny. p.s. anybody know where i can get the rear license plate light bulb and plastic cover. the one on there is melted a bit i am guessing from using the wring light bulbs. i am also planing on getting bigger rims and better tires...perhaps the yoko avs sport in 16" rims 8" wide? although i have so far found the whole which rim/tire to chose very confusing...
