Doody, got responses back from both sites- neither one of them has it, nibs has never even heard of it. Sorry... the jury's still out on one more source of information, but it doesn't look good... |

I don't know if they sell the specific pens you want, however, try "The Fountain Pen Hospital". They have a lot of interesting things and they sell new Omas pens. |

Doody I have one and was actually thinking about selling it again. I do not use fountain pens since my handwriting sucks and people have a hard time reading my doctor scribble with a regular pen. E-mail me if you are interested. It has all the good stuff, box, packing etc. and is un-inked.

thanks guys! i had been to both those sites, and have emailed them previously. i have found a bunch of people who list it but don't have it. i'm curious to see if anyone knows a local f-car dealer who has it in his "accessories" case or the like so i can stop screwing around. thanks! doody. |

Doody, i emailed the guy at the Omas website and i emailed the guy at www.nibs.com - maybe you want to call him for a quicker response. It doesn't appear that he has the pen you're in search of, in stock, however i requested he get back to me with any information that might lead to locating the pen. i managed to locate a rollerball 456GT yellow Omas Ferrari fountain pen, but as you stated, rollerballs aren't in your scope of interest at the present time... i'll let you know if this dude gets back to me with any relevant info... |

I don't know much about Fountain Pens but I surfed around a bit and the Omas Yellow Ferrari pen is on this site: http://www.pensinternational.com/page5.html Perhaps you could email them orso. I hope it helped a bit. Good luck on your quest |

I'm a bit of a fountain pen nut. Omas in the past has made some fountain pens for Ferrari. The vast majority of them are red, and were apparently created for the 348 Challenge Series (2,000 for participants; 1,000 to retailers). There are some far more rare yellow ones as well, perhaps not part of the 348 stuff, but the identical design - just a different color. They've also made ballpoints and the like, but I'm not terribly interested in those. Does anyone know of any good sources for these things? The red ones pop on EBay now and then, primarily being sold by (or rather, not being sold by, and extremely frequently) a guy who only takes wire transfers, doesn't list a location, and has minimal feedback. On PenBid there's a guy who's been trying to sell a yellow one for MONTHS at some stupid price. He won't even discuss a negotiation. I know my local F dealer has a few Omas products in their acessories cabinets, alas only the rollerballs. Wondering if anyone out there has seen the fountain pens at their local F dealer or elsewheres. Thanks, Doody. |
