Well I should have my test pipes next week. I will keep you all posted on how it goes. I can not wait to hear the engine whale.

Robert, it's the same seller for all three test pipes on eBay. He probably didn't bother taking a different photo of each set, as they should all be different. You can e-mail him just to make sure, but the ones in the photo look like the ones for the 360.

Ernesto

PS. My 360 passed the emiissions test with the cats removed.

Not one to advocate the removal of smog equipment, have you guys considered acquiring high-flow catalytic converters; Tubi makes them. Of course, they're not inexpensive.

I'd like to take the possibility to thank Ernesto, he took the time to explain me some stuff regarding the test pipes while I was in the decisional process. Thanks man!
In my 2002 model I also don't get the check engine warning, I only get a tiny yellow/orange light on, owner's manual says it's the emission ignition light.
The car runs perfectly, so it doesn't bother me, I just find it weird.
Here's a pic of the test pipes:

I looked on ebay, and there are 3 sets of test pipes for sale, 348, 355, and 360, but the same picture is used for all three. Are they the same or is this just another ....

I installed the bypass pipes on mine a few months after installing the Tubi. The increase is sound is substantial, the car is now VERY loud (you can hear it coming blocks away). It definitely feels like it has more power, especially through the upper RPM range. As Luigi said, no recalibration needed. Also, no check engine light on mine (2000 F1).

Regarding the O2 sensors, mine had one per side even though the cat pipes has places for two per side. I simply installed the existing O2 sensors on each side and put in dummy sensors on the two empty brackets.

FYI, there is a set for sale on eBay right now (no affiliation whatsoever):

PS. I had mine heat coated by JetHot Coating, as well as portions of the Tubi catback. Next step is to coat the airbox to try to decrease the intake air.

Robert, here are your answers:
1) It will add ap. 20 real hp. You will feel it in the top of the rev band.

2) No recalibration needed.

3) Sound-wise it's a huge improvement, giving true F1 howl.Maybe too much for the majority.
4) They are attached to the test pipes.Depending on MY you might have the emissions light turned on, without affecting performance.

I was thinking about getting some tubi by-pass manifolds, but have some general not specific questions.

Does it really add that much power?

Does the injection system need to be re-calibrated?

How much more sound does it give you?

What happens with the O2 sensors?
