There was a 400i convertible when I had my Lotus in for service and he claimed it was factory. I wasn't going to dispute him on it but maybe the factory did cut a few roofs off?

Those 400i foldings tops always look home made (I guess you could say they are). Unlike the Mondial cab or Merc SL, the 400i is on my list of cars that look better with a hard top anyway like the Corvette, 911 and Jag XK8.

Eventhough its a mint Ferrari and has under 40K mi. I would offer $36.9K tops (Odd color, molested chassis and muted sedan like sex appeal).

The beauty is, you should be able to service the engine with that tool kit. I like the 412's in the hardtop. Anyone ever dealt with this dealer? I have seen there ads in the NYT.

Ferrari never made a 400/412 droptop. It's aftermarket.

That is a cut-off, isn't it?
That can not be factory!

I like hte 400 and 412 but i MUCH better prefer the hardtops. The convertible 400s just look odd...the top doenst seem to fit right when its up. There is a red conv. at Newport Autosport thats 50 or 55k...I forget how much...Its nice but I would get a hardtop anyday.

I think that's being relisted. There were no bidders last time.

I know the 400 has its fans ( i think its a nice executive crusier) but 45k seem steep to me
