I've seen 3.2's for less money; especially on EBay but that's always a pig in a poke. I'm no expert on 3.2's but if you spend 40K I think it should be in perfect condition with most/all records, up to date maintainence and everything working. Red. Maybe 20-40k miles. High $40's and you can get a T. I paid a shade under 30K for my QV, black/black, and excellent shape, about 34k miles and that's about as good a deal as I could have hoped for. My only regret is I didn't save a little more money and get a 3.2 but Ferrari Fever got me when I saw the car and price. Offer 35 and see what they say! Tell them not ALL cabs leak and for 40K yours shouldn't either.

What I wanted to know is if $40,000 is too much for a 3.2 cab with a gap in the front of the top or am I going to find that this issue is pretty common.

You want to know who did the roof? It was done in the LA area; the PO didn't have the paperwork but since it passed the hose test I didn't press the issue. I'll contact him and find out more details if you want.

Yes, factory Mondial tops "always leak"; or at least they often do! My PO installed an after market top; he paid $1500 for it including labor which I thought wasn't too much at all. I've had the car about 2 years and the few times I've been in rain it DOESN'T leak. I hosed it pretty good before I bought it and it was dry inside. So it IS possible to have a leakproof top; shame on Ferrari for the piece of shit top that they make!!

I had another question regarding the mondial 3.2.Do the majority of the cars have problems with the roof closing all the way or is it typical to have a car with a gap in the front. The dealership stated that a majority of mondial are like this he also stated that you can see through this hole. Thanks for the help again.
