When I questioned them further about it (six months ago), they finally said they would send me a form so I could have it included in CarFax. They did send me the form but I didn't follow thru because it would have only shown my ownership/registration and not the previous ones. Some programmer wrote the code to reject "bad" VINs but that person didn't realize that people were registering Euro vehicles in the US. |

This is the response from CarFax on Euro VIN's: Hello Martin, Thanks for contacting Carfax by email. Given that the VIN does not conform to US VIN standards, we'll not be able to offer any history on it. I suggest you contact the DMV where it is currently registered to learn what you can. I was not able to get anything either. I am writing the carfax help desk to see what the story is. Let you know. Martin |

My '86 328 is a Euro and the last time I ran CarFax, it wasn't there. Martin... If you want to try again: ZFFWA20B000059897 |

I don't think so. If you get the VIN I can run the carfax, I have 2 months free. Just bought a new car for my wife, a CLK430 out of NY. VIN's from the early days will not show up either. Has to be a 17 digit VIN. |

my 82 308 shows the history since it arrived in 83. I have a complete carfax report for my car. It is a euro. |
