Luigi, my contact in Maranello also said it was a rework of the front spoilers and the rear but we are talking interpretations; I suppose the images will be out in late February anyway. He didn't talk numbers and price, I'll ask him next week. |

Interesting, this article states that the front of the Stradale is a cross between the 360's and the Enzo's. Whereas my dealer who saw the car told me that the front only had redesigned spoilers.Wonder who is right...
Amar, did he tell you anything about production numbers and price?

Jay, that's almost word-for-word what my contact at the factory said about the 360 Stradale - they obviously managed to get everybody to sing from the same hymn sheet! Since this special edition 360 is coming out this March, it would be highly unlikely for the all-new successor to the 360 to be announced until a year later at least; John's source must be talking about March 2004.
Interesting guessing games... or someone could get to Luca di Montezemolo at the Detroit Show and make him squeal! |

I was told from a very reliable source that the 420 will be out in march with a 4.2 Maserati derived engine.
I am very interested in the cosmetic changes to the Stradale or the 420. Please keep us informed. I'm one of those lost souls told "yes your on the list"

ELI, the 360 Stradale version will have cosmetic changes but I don't know about the extent of cosmetic changes to the successor to the 360 ("420"). The history of recent Ferrari V-8s (348, 355, 360) suggests fairly significant changes on new models though, doesn't it? It may be even more likely this time with the new Lamborghini Gallardo soon competing directly. |

ELI, the 360 Stradale will be more powerful and lighter than the Modena and meant to be something like a road-legal version of the Challenge car. Luigi has more details and has ordered one for summer delivery. |

Luigi, he confirmed power will be about 20 hp higher, suspension is significantly modified and body changes in the front and rear are to increase downforce further - but you knew all this already? He did not give more details but said Luca di Montezemolo might say more about it at the Detroit Motor Show and that specs will be released before Geneva. I'm speaking with him again in a couple of weeks, let me know if you have more specific questions.
Initial deliveries should be in June/July and then not until September/October. Either way you're a lucky man to be amongst the first to get it! |

Amar, did he give you any other info concerning the Stradale?
My order is the first one in Switzerland, so I guess mine should arrive in June.That's what my dealer also told me in the beginning. |

Spoke to a market manager down at the factory in Maranello last week and he says that for sure the 360's successor - which will definitely not be out in 2003 - will not have a 4.2 litre engine whether derived from Maserati's or not. I somehow doubted he would make a categoric statement that could soon turn out false.
He confirmed the 360 Stradale will indeed be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and LHD deliveries in Europe will begin around June with RHD in the UK 3-4 months later. |

I would suspect cosmetic changes on the order of the 550/575 change. Probably nothing major, just little detail changes. |
