K&Ns are a lot cheaper, and almost as effective.

NSXFILES.COM's Wayne put one on his 355 and he said that it gave 10rwhp. He said that the had it dynod befor + after to verify. Quite impressive for only an intake if its true. I don't see why he would make it up. It looks like the same Gruppe M part mentioned in prev. post. He said he paid about 3k for it. It looked pretty trick and seemed to have larger volume/smoother tubes that the stocker so maybe its true. I put simple 8" smooth tubes on my Viper for a 5-10 HP gain. I guess if you study the Dynamics of the Air intake with "smooth tubes" apposed to the dryer hose type of flexible hose most cars use you could assume the smooth tubes would cause less restriction/swirling/eddies/ + air disruption in general wich would boost HP a bit. Don't think they are worth $3k though. Get a tubi instead!!!

it's a very high quality unit (I've seen it) made by Gruppe M in Japan. They are the exclusive K&N distributors in Japan and have their own products for Ferrari cars. You can see some details on http://www.gruppem.co.jp/f355.htm

I don't have them--but you can find some pictures in NSX files. If I remember right the CF thing is around $3000.

They are wider and smoother tubes with gentler bends which should decrease any resistance to airflow--slight increase in power (5 HP??) and a slight increase in intake noise heard by the driver.
