Matt,
How did you know that her name was Melissa.....I'm feeling jipped now....Autogallery were kind enough to give me a couple of names on the stand (Melissa being one of them) so that I could get a better look at the Enzo....Fortunately Melissa wasn't working today, just as well as I'm a happily married man, and I suspect that if I had informed my wife that I was off to see a Ferrari & blond she'd have decked me!!

Eric
I think we are talking about the blonde with wavy hair, blue eyes, 5 foot 9 or 10 maybe (The day I saw her she had on a navy suit with white shirt lapels showing). Didn't make alot of eye contact with the crowd. Pretty hard to miss. Call some dealers see if you can get her to register here. :-)

James, I think I'm stuck in 1957. The funny thing about that is that I wasn't even born yet!

You're right on about more curves and fewer stickers, though:

Damn it........!!!!!! How is it that all of you saw this hot Ferrari girl, and I missed her? Unless I was so focused on the stupid cars that I didn't even notice? I am sure I would have noticed...

Maybe some pictures will refresh my memory?...I know she didn't sneak into any of my pictures...Anyone?

Byron, Jean-Louis and I went to the show today. We got behind the velvet ropes. Byron will post pics later. I agree with Wayne.

I was in LA last week, briefly, and i am sorry i missed the girl. Oh, i'm sorry, you were talking about cars... All that requires is money.

The Enzo is available in Blue. A friend of mine is getting one in Blue. New from the factory.
Wayne
What's wrong with you? You like your cars with curves? You like race cars with fewer stickers so you can see those curves? You prefer simplier times when sex was safe and racing dangerous?
Do you still wonder why I'm stuck in 1967?

Thanks for the eyewitness accounts.

I hope FNA sends the Enzo to the Atlanta Car Show. Us guys in the Southeast would like to see it up close.

Nebula-

You talkin' about the blonde at the Ferrari 'booth'? Uhh, thats a 10-4 good buddy, that woman was 'off the hezzie', per se. Re: the enzo, I, personally, feel that it's the most beautiful modern ferrari, period. Although, i thought, the mirrors were too large, and very unimpressive; I would have liked to have seen more of the F1 'influence' go into the mirror design, they looked like honda accord mirrors, seriously. anyway, i too, wondered about the guys behind the ropes, and the celberity status anointed to them, but then got too caught up in..the car...the girl..the girl..the girl..wait..what the hell am i looking at again?

regards.

I was thinking the same thing stephen,
you should've shouted with a nice sarcastic tone;

"well too bad for -you-, it's not available in -blue-"

Should've shut him up.

I don't like the Enzo's styling as much...just for asthetics. Im sure its a great car though. However, contrary to Ausbrooks, I like the F50. I think the lines of the F50 are very elegant and sleek.

Let me clarify...cause there were a few guys that were very tasteful and proper behind the ropes. One or two guys went behind, and were smiling, but didn't run around, trying to talk loud so that the crowd of spectators behind could hear them talk as if they were about to buy the car.

It pissed me off MAINLY because I had a perfect shot of the car, but these two idiots would NOT MOVE out of the picture. They must has stood in front of the car for a good five mintues, talking to each other loudly about "whether I want it in blue or not." Ugh.

Don't get me wrong....if I had the opportunity, I would be behind the ropes before they were up. There were a few REAL enthusiasts that very tastefully inspected the car from behind the ropes, and you could tell they were the real deal.

It's the phonies that piss me off.

As for the Enzo, it is dramatic. What I love most about it is the classic Ferrari "Form follows Function" theme. Nothing is on that car, save for the Ferrari badges, that is there simply to impress. Each line, each crease in the body, each intake, every curve and every piece of carbon fiber, glass, and sheet metal is there for a purpose, and it is executed in a way that makes the car look beautiful because it accomplished it's purpose so well. The only way I can describe it this: the Enzo is like a bird of prey. The bird of prey is designed to be fast, poweful, and efficient, and as a result, it looks the way it does. And birds of prey look BAD ASS.

But, opinions are opinions, and it is VERY easy to see how Jack may love the car, but Joe may hate it.

You do have to admit, though, that the girl manning the Ferrari display was HOT indeed.

Nebula, that was you giving me the evil eye, while i was up there...? Why didn't you just ask, i would've let you come behind the ropes... :-)

L. Wayne, you're not the first person i've heard comment on the looks of the Enzo in that way... i can respect your opinion and add that this particular Ferrari is really an acquired taste... (although, isn't any car...?)

Eric, i agree, the Enzo definitely has its own kind of beauty... very edgy, very racey... not racey like barreling down the track, but racey like erotic, in a dominant way... It has a very powerful look to it, very commanding... i sure as hell don't hear classical music in my head when i see it, i hear hardcore music... loud... and everything outside those windows is a messy blur, streaking by me as i- um... yeah, uh, it's a nice car...

HaHa...I get a kick out of some of those people too, but I suppose not all of the "behind the ropes people" are that way or show such character as the ones you describe. Though I would have loved to see pictures.

As far as the Enzo, it was pretty much just as I had expected. Just outrageous in design. One can truly see that form fit function and it is very purposeful. In my opinion, the design is less elegant or graceful as I see in the shapes of the 550, TR's, 355s, 275, etc., but it has a different kind of beauty. I did like it a lot, and its performance and technology certainly plays a big part in that.

Overall, it was very impressive, though not so much captivating for me. But I'm sure it would be a whole different story if I was behind the wheel. Certainly looks good in yellow!

LOL! Actually, I was behind the ropes but I wasn't flaunting my money as I have no amount worth flaunting and I definitely wasn't dancing! I simply wanted a closer look as it was the first time I'd seen the car in person. It would've been funny, though, if you had taken a picture to show all of us what clowns they were and one of them was me!

As for my impression of the car, I know this will draw a lot of flack but I think it looks terrible, though still slightly better than the F50. Don't get me wrong, I respect both for what they are and what they represent but I think that something better could have been done with their styling.

What a car.

Fantastic. Beautiful. Amazing rear deck, amazing interior, amazing front end.

What a car.

The only complaint I have is all the assholes who felt the need to flaunt their money by getting behind the ropes and pracing around the car like fags with bags full of dicks, pretending as if the car was theirs, and snubbing their noses at all the "plebs" behind the ropes.

There were these two clowns, dacing like little gay elfs, putting on a show and talking loud about "what color his will be." I've seen this a thousand times: some jack-off, attempting to convince me that he is able to buy a Ferrari, and assuming that by acting arrogant and rude, it will convince me that he is someone powerful and wealthy.

Stupid bastards. I almost took a picture of them with their circus-lemonade smiles so that I could entertain all of you.
