A perfect re-body (of a 250/330 2+2) would be valued somewhere in the very low six-figures. A perfect re-body of the genuine article (many were re-bodied due to racing incidents) would be about a mid-seven figures car depending on provenance.

Don't know the car you reference. If it's an example of the former, though no doubt a blast to drive, it would not be eligible for an important concours. If it's an example of the latter, there's a fair chance it has already done the circuit and would no doubt be welcome.

I would not buy a car like that without having a true Ferrari historian look at the car. There are books out there that have loads of infos about certain models, some evben have a whole list with all cars ever made of that model and where they are to date, what happened to them and if they were raced, where they were wrecked etc. I have a book like that about the 250 Berlinetta. Lists all cars!

Call the clubs or Cavallino about references for that car.

Is anyone familiar with the 1961 250 Testarossa for sale at Copley motorcars? It is listed as an "aluminum alloy rebody." Would the car be eligible for concours competition? Any ideas on value of the car?
