Great news on the book, Wayne! Are you going with a publisher or self-published?

I understand your feelings towards promoting the book on this site (ie: Rob). Why not offer FCers a special deal? Charge $5 more for an autographed copy only available on FC. Then send Rob $5.00 for every order. Count me in on that deal!

I don't really want to use F-chat as a means to promote the book (wouldn't be fair to Rob) so I'll say briefly that it is due out in time to peddle it at the Concorso in August. I recently learned that a similar book will be coming out around the same time by Marcel Massini. For those of you who don't know who Marcel is, he's probably the world's foremost Ferrari historian. Sorry, Gerald Roush, but it's true. To go head to head with him on my first book would be foolish so I've been in contact with Marcel and I'm making changes so that we don't overlap (his book is covering certain cars and mine will cover the others).

J. Michael, I've seen several pictures of Enzo signing as well but never put any thought to whether he was left or right handed. If I had checked this thread before Jeff answered, I certainly would have been stumped. Then again, I guess I could have looked up the pictures before answering.

Mr. Jordan:

I looked through some Ferrari books on my shelf, and found a couple of pictures of Enzo writing. In both, he was right handed. He was famous for writing in purple ink.

Here's a question for all you trivialists: Was Enzo right or left handed? I just saw his signature on the ENZO topic and it made me wonder if perhaps he was a lefty. Do you think this might even stump L. Wayne?

Right Wayne. In the segment, one can also catch a glimpse of the 308 GT4 LM.

Barry, 18095 and its "sister" car 18139 look pretty much just like standard BB's that are dressed for racing:

Barchetta also gives this reference for the 365 BBLM S/N 18095 which was at Le Mans in 1975:

No picture, though. I've seen that piece on Speedvision in the past. Just quick glimpses of the Daytonas and Boxers.

My main Ferrari interest is the custom coachwork and one-off specials. I'm doing a book on that subject right now and have several notebooks here at my desk with files on all of these cars in order by chassis number. Though I know many of the more famous cars by s/n, for the rest I have to refer to my files.

Wayne, do you have all these SN's memorized or do you carry your information with you all the time? Your ability to 'name that car' amazes me.

Can't find one handy but here's what Barchetta has on the car inclding some photos. According to them it's last known owner is in France. They are often wrong, though.

Sorry, guys, I've been away for a little while. I didn't see the LM Classic but it sounds like you are both talking about s/n 15965. I'll see if I have a pic somewhere so everyone else can see what we're talking about.

Having missed the show, what color was the car? Did it have a racing #?

So I end up watching the Le Mans Classic on Speed for the umpteenth time and I am still stumped by the Ferrari that was in the last race.

It was a notchback and the announcer mentioned that is competed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1975 and at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1978. Yet it barely resembled anything in Ferrari's lineup those years.

What was that car?!
