I have been thinking the exact same thing...95% of all events are either in Miami or the Tampa/St.Pete area. Let me know when you'd like to arrange something...I'm game.

I had mine out for the entire day today...I must have put 200 miles on the car running around town...felt really good.

Yes, Greg, an event like that would be terrific! Between the two cities alone, I'm sure there would be quite a few F-car owners. Here in Jax I know of at least 6 owners, and just saw another red / tan 328 GTS the other day that I've never seen before only 2 miles down the road -- got to track that guy down .

It's unfortunate that the majority of all meets, events, etc. are all in South / Central FL. Wish there was more of an active scene here in the North / Panhandle area.

Eric, I know we talked about it this past 2002, but we really need to do a Jacksonville - Panhandle area get-together!...somewhere between your fair city and Tallahassee.

Hey there Greg!

With regard to wheel alignments...unfortunately I'm not certain if Omega provides this service or not...perhaps Dr. Mark Moon could answer this. It's been about a year ago since I visited Omega, and I can't recollect if they had any alignment machines / equipment there or not.

I do know that European S.C.S. performs alignments, etc., as I had that done as part of the major service there.

An alignment really makes a world of a difference too!

Howie / Eric...I was real happy to see this thread pop-up. The last time I asked this exact question, I came up empty. Does anyone know if Omega Motorsports can do wheel alignments? Right now, that is the only stuff that I need done that I can't do myself.

No problem, Mark...I completely understand...we're going to have to switch DSL providers on account of our existing one going "belly-up"...so the e-mail situation here is going to be interesting to say the least during this transition.

The next show here in O.P. (K-mart parking lot at corner of Kingsley & Blanding) will be this Saturday (18th) -- my birthday -- but I still plan on attending (weather permitting), unless my wife has other plans. It is held every 3rd Sat. of the month.

There are other shows as well held at different locations all over Jax. and O.P. each Saturday. I believe there is one held every 2nd Sat. of the month at "The Q" fitness center parking lot on Wells Rd. in O.P. For the most part, there are muscle cars, antique / vintage cars, and street rods -- but there are usually several Vipers, Panteras, Porsches, Lotus, Vettes, and a Ferrari or two. Hope to meet you in the near future!

I tried to email you last month but my email was screwed up. When is next month's car show? Let me know and I will try to get there.

OOPS...looks like Dr. Moon beat me to the punch line Good to hear from you as well Mark!

Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be many F-chatters here in Jax. I only know of about 3 (including myself). There are, however, several F-owners here. But, like Mark put it..."they're all in hiding -- low key -- since this is mostly a Porsche town". We're working on changing that though .

Thank you Bruce for the kind words...and my kindest regards to you and your family as well!

Howie: there are several F-car owners here in Jacksonville (and surrounding areas) who use Omega Motorsports, Inc.

The owner and master mechanic is Steve Vairamoglou, and Omega's address is:

241-3 Tresca Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32225
Phone: 904/721-2022

Another F-Chatter here, Dr. Mark Moon (EnzoMoon) uses Omega for service on his 355 and 512M if I'm not mistaken -- and others have used Omega for PPI's also.

Personally, I've never had my 308 serviced there; but have, however, met Steve and toured his facilities. On a recommendation from another fellow F-Chatter (DaveL), I chose to send my car down to European Sports Car Service, Inc. in Longwood, FL (just North of Orlando). They did a fabulous job on the major service, and I've decided to have the 308 serviced there from now on.

But I have heard mostly good things about Omega, except for a buyer who was not very satisfied with a PPI that he recieved.

Feel free to contact me if you'd like more info., or additional info. regarding European Sport Car Service in Longwood.
