David, WHV is Willhelmshaven in the north of Germany. Old fisher town and port. The rear diffusor, I guess it does bolt to the rear spoiler. No effect on the handling of the car I assume but looks good. I am getting a set including the front one. Will let you know. Should be here while I am on vacation.

Hey Martin 2 questions. Where in Germany is "WHV"? Is that a ground effects defuser bolted to the bottom of the rear bumper? |

I put one on my 308 GTBi and I think the car ran cooler. I also cut in the euro rad exit duct and that defineately helped as well. On summer days in bumper to bumper on the westside highway I had to shut off the AC and put on the heat to keep from boiling over. You had to keep your eye on the temp gauge until the GW bridge turn off where the traffic cleared. |

The original intent of this spoiler, and the reason it appeared on the Boxers and later on the QV's was to reduce the laminar pressure zone above the engine bonnet, drawing more air through, helping to keep the engine bay cooler. With Ferrari's additional aero experience, I doubt it has any effect on a 348 or 355, other than to give it that "Uncle Ben's Long Grain Rice" look. I just don't get it... Ferraris are so rare, what's the point of trying to make it more distinctive? |

What is the purpose of the spoiler? is it just for looks? I've never seen anything like this. |

Just got these pictures and think they are pretty good. It is the same car that also has the diffusors. This guy does these things as a hobby. He is as Ferrari nutz as we are.
