As far as I know you can remove a panel that leads into the driver's compartment. That's probably how you service the front part. I believe the engine is somewhere between a 308 and a 348 with the addition of the two turbos, so it should be about the same in service.

The engine does not look very DIY. It looks like you cannot access the forward cylinders without removing the engine. This brings up a good question, How does one service the 288?

Anyone work on them? JRV?

The car at Symbolic is at asking price $ 349,000.
They have another coming at $ 325,000 with less than 8K Miles.
Since these cars are not driven on the street anyway might as well import one from outside the US and import it as a race car. Can still drive it on dealer plates.
This car in Germany Ansgar would be $ 215,000 plus flying it to the US $ 7,000. You save $ 100,000 just in doing that!

I think the 288 is one of the best looking cars they ever made. I wish ferrari would do some kind of retro 288 like ford is doing with the mustang. new, but has that old flavor without being a total copy. The newer f cars are getting too non descript with all the rounding of the edges. gonna look like a ford taurus before too long!
