Ross:

My numbers are guesstimates:
1)Tubi-10-20hp
2)Koenig ECU-rated at +35hp(feels like more)
3)K&N-10HP
4)Test Pipes-easily 20hp
Also, I used to own a 512TR..while the claimed hp increase to the M is only 12 in stock form I think it is considerably more than that.

mark moon; i have a 512tr, so i am interested in those things you added to give your m another 70+hp. exhaust will loosen up 15-20, but where did the rest come from? and is the performance increase somehow documentable or is it just a feeling?

Omar:

There were actually 75 F512Ms in the U.S. Each is numbered. I have #2. No, they do not have power steering. Also, I believe that the 1994 512TR also has ABS. The F512M is a wickedly fast car. I owned both a TR and 512TR in the past. The M is considerably faster than the 512TR although the 512TR is damn fast. The M is about 150lbs lighter and the Titanium Rods make the engine rev much more quickly. While the stock hp on the M is listed at only 12hp more than the 512TR I believe from my experience that it is actually more than that. I have about 500HP in mine after putting a Koenig ECU, test pipes, Tubi and K&N filter. It is the most wonderful car I have ever driven and I believe will appreciate in value considerably over time. Two other dealers have an M for sale, I think. Get on the FNA website. Ferrari of San Fransisco and I believe one other dealer.
If you can find one for less than 150k pounce on it. You won't be disappointed!!

Omar
By 1995 there were three things avaliable on other F-cars that the factory had no intention of developing for th 512M.

-6 speed gear box
-Air bags
-Power steering

I think that makes this car even more significant in that it was the last truly Idiosyncraticly wonderful Ferrari.

Don't ask, I don't know where these $20 words come from.

I see Algar is sitting on 8 new Masers. They can't be happy about that.

Guys -- Just wonder if there is any more mid-engine V12 will be produced to the mass soon (exclude the limited edition ones). There are only two 512M in HK. One is owned by the boss of the F-agent in HK and another by one of our Sunday morning drive buddy. I should call him to make sure he will bring her out tomorrow for a spin.

Peter(Bubba)- bring your 512TR as well!

Sorry Omar. Didn't mean to be the bearer of bad news. Strange, even though I couldn't buy it at the time, my heart sank when I saw the sold tag. I was really smitten by it when I saw it there a couple months ago. Truly an immaculate specimen. And truly a Ferrari in my book. One of my very favorite models. Good luck in your search my friend.

Scotty

Anyone have info on the red one over at Algar...the price seems reasonable for the mileage.

How are the cars IYO? Do these cars have power steering? I know they are the only TRs with ABS.
