Thanks Steve, Actually the only disappointment will be when I park this car in my garage next to yours. Cosmetically, it is a world apart, for now............

They've done a ton of work since I was there last week. Let us all know the final pick up date, we'll come watch you burn rubber out of the parking lot. James did think you were going to be surprised at the power, he said it was 'peppy' before but is going to be fast now. |

Kevin, The engine was rebuilt by Norwood a couple of years ago from the bottom end, up. It has J E racing pistons different rings and various other upgrades he did to the motor when he built it to take the constant punishment of higher boost. The fuel is supplied by fuel rails and the motec computer, mapable and programable. No large upgrades to the brakes. I do know Norwood did a brake job on the car recently for the PO and did replace the rotors with Brembos, I believe the calipers to be stock, pads, I don't know what they used. It seems to stop fine but does have a slight squeel I noticed on the test drive. Rotors are good condition. Transmission- bone stock as far as I know. Norwood Autocraft has kept all the records since about 91 or so on this car. I'll pour over them thoroughly when I get it. I think the clutch is on it's last leg. Friction point is right at the end of the cluch throw. Second gear syncro is more finicky when warm in this car than when my QV was cold. It is accessable, but takes a bit of finesse.

Jeff, What about your engine internals and fuel supply? Are they stock standard or fully upgraded to take the beating of 550 Prancing Horses?? What boost will you be calibrating this for?? Let me know!!

IS that a Bosch or Stratosphere BOV? I would think that if you're moving enough air to make 550 hp you might need another one of those ;) Looks nice. |

Jeff, Can you ask them if they will do a kit so they can send one over to the UK - On a serious note and as a fellow 348 owner - I would love to be there the first time you drive it! - Something tells me that the corners of your mouth will be nearly touching your eyelids! Keep us all posted! |

Ok, These is just the first pic with the Intercooler in place for a test fitting. This was just to test-fit the cooler and ductwork. No parts have been powder coated in this shot so this isn't what the engine bay will actually look like when complete. Stay posted for more. I plan on picking the car up mid-end of next week about Jan. 25 or so. James Patterson has graciously agreed to allow fellow chatters in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area to attend the send off with a potential walk about the Norwood facility. If you've not been there, take it from me: this is a VERY generous offer. Stay "tuned" for more. Jeff
