Thank you all for your inputs. By the way Dave, you did not come across as a jerk.

for those who prefer a "web address"

altho he's not the greatest web based person, if you call/visit him... it'll allow his true personality (extremely helpful) and knowledge to shine.

I can vouch that David is not a sacastic jerk normally, only during certain time of the month.

Hey Dave, I think you're a pretty nice guy. Sometimes things sound different then they are intended. I've done it myself. MAGOO

No harm intended. Welcome to the site. Most people on this site are not sacastic jerks like me. Actually, I'm not even a sarcastic jerk normally.

Sorry Dave, I am new to the site. I usually don't go to a site to check out the ads.
Warren, thanks for the info.

Umm Arman, not to be rude or anything but you could check out the advertising on this site. Nick has one running and you can click on that. (Maybe you have learned the art of ignoring all advertising.)

My experience with Nick has been great but my experience with his wife Gillian was far better.
GREAT FOOD!!!!!!

I agree, although I can not say I have had talked to Nick anbout that yet. His site is very impressive to that respect.

I am in the process of buying a old 308 with burn damage and will convert the car to a track car. The engine will be redone with "Nick-tology" to make it faster....

Even though the glowing praises we are seeing here are "how nice he is" or "how cheap the parts were", to look at him as a parts house or a service garage is really discounting his assets. Nick's real niche is his progressive research and enhancement in the 308 motor (which is, in reality, of 15 to 20+ year old technology).

Those Ferrari enthusiasts who take pride in keeping their Ferraris original would not be interested in this, but Nick showed me all the different things he is doing to the 308 motor for it to run better, or to yield more HP. A lot of really interesting stuff that I plan on implementing to my car I am going for 300 HP baby!!

I'm a new Ferrari owner and of course had never heard of Nick before this site. But given the glowing praise he receives here I'll make his place my first stop for anything I might need.

I agree with you all.
Purchased a waterpump for my 30K inspection. The pump is $ 1750 from Ferrari dealer retail, the dealer offered me $1,050 as a shop price and Nick sold it for $ 795. What more need I say.

THANKS NICK

I have only ordered a K&N from Nick so far, have talked with him a few times and E-mail chatted quite a bit - my impression is he is a valuable resource, has decent prices and should be considered an asset in our little community!

I will have to concur, Nick is a rabid Ferrari fan. While I have only made the smallest of purchases thus far, Nick has taken plenty of time to answer my questions and offer advice. The stainless steel test pipes I purchased were very nicely constructed with clean welds...recommended!

I must concur. Nick and I spent countless time on the phone working together to find my hot running conditions. He helped me with my water pump and I got my test pipes from him. I also have a care package on the way from him now with my K&N air filter and my rubber distributor boots. Nick is the coolest most knowledgable Ferrari guy I know. He is willing to help anyone, anywhere. He is honest and I consider him a good friend and EXCELLENT source for any Ferrari questions. He is a Ferrari V8 master. I SWEAR BY HIM!! I would not recommend anyone else but Nicky. He IS the man.

Thanks for all your help Nick! I will do ALL possible business with him, thats for DAMN sure.

I can't remember how I met Nick, but I think it was from back in the day of expensivecar.com. He's the man, it's that simple. He's a really cool guy who's honest and a pleasure to talk to about anything, oh yeah, and he knows just a few things about Ferraris.

Ya, Nick is great. I got my test pipes from him as well. The care sounds much better now. Easy to install. Make sure you get new gaskets though.

I spoke to Nick several times already and have not bought anything from him. He still answers all my questions and gives me advice without thrying to sell me anything. I do plan on buying his test pipes for my TR.

I have been very amiss in not mentioning this earlier, but I had the opportunity to take out about 8 hours of a day recently (about 6 weeks ago) as my travels took me to the Seattle area. Of course armed with a rental car and not the TR the 2 hour trip from the Redmond area to Blaine wasn't nearly as fun as it could have been. I spent a few HOURS just shooting a breeze or 2 with Nick, taking the dime tour of his place, he even bought me lunch for traveling the 1000 miles up to pay him a visit. I have yet to actually do any real business with Nick but several things are pending. Anyone who overlooks this valuable Ferrari resource will surely learn how to pay retail and wait an extremely long time for parts. As well as not get the advice of someone surely qualified (even if we had to pay for it, ONLY KIDDING - don't get any crazy ideas Nick!)

-Ben

PS. I too have pics of that car...I can post if there is interest.

Nick's a good guy who seems to know a thing or two about Ferraris. He contacted me directly based on a question that I had asked on this site and was very friendly and helpful.

I have to echo that. My car has been running "funny". I drove it up to Blaine (2 hr from Seattle) for Nick to look at, he spent about 3 hours with me and the car and he gave me the education of my life (on 308 anyway...). Most importantly, he gave me the confidence that I WILL be able to get my car running great without mortgaging my house. His partner/associate Kermit (Matt) is also a kick who rides a hog and knows a lot about internal combustion engine as well as a master machinist who makes beautiful stainless steel parts.
Picture shows Nick's own car in front of his shop, beautiful black 308GTBi

Nick contacted me after seeing my posting here that I needed a used gearbox. Everyone here at FerrariChat should know that Nick was a pleasure to deal with, his product was exactly as he represented, and he was very reasonable with his prices. If anyone is looking for something for their car, do yourself a favor and give Nick a call.
