chris,
www.BBB.org
file a report. my friend filed 3 reports for one mechanic, all from different events. One time the guy did a BS quick fix for the brakes. the wheel cyliner went out 5 minutes after my friend dropped me off. the failure was due to the quick fix the guy did. the pedal went to the floor, no brakes at all. luckily it this happened in his driveway. im not even gonna get into the other 2 reports...

In California you could file a claim with the Bureau of Automotive Repair which licenses repair shops. They would contact the owner and do an investigation. If enough complaints are filed about a place, they can and have shut down repair shops.

Does NY have anything similar?

Yeah, Chris, Ken & Frank are right (and more civil)... Take them to court and also mentioned that threatened bodily harm... Try and throw everything at them... Work the system to your advantage...!

Chris,
I agree with Frank. Get the car taken care of yourself and then sue in small claims court. The owner is obviously not going to work this out with you so you might as well get the car fixed and then go after him. Document everything, including the altercation with the shop owner.

Also, call the Westhampton Chamber of Commerce with a complaint.

As long as everything you say on the website is truthful, you probably will not have a problem with libel since truth is an absolute defense to defamation.

Bruce is the kinda guy you call at 3AM and ask him to meet you on the side of the highway with a shovel and some garbage bags and he doesn't ask any questions... He's alright in my book... Bruce, how many shovels can you fit in that Testarossa...?

Bruce,

Is the car wash a different owner or the same?

I feel though at this point how can you trust them. How could I ever bring my car there for service again?

Thanks

Chris, a little strategically-placed advertising (ie: flyers) would surely send them down the toilet... Good show, buddy...

Chris, photograph the damage and then have it repaired at a body shop of your choice. Then send the paid bill to the owner of Westhampton via certified mail with a letter demanding that he reimburse you within 10 days. If he doesn't, file a lawsuit in Magistrate/Small Claims Court for the cost of the repairs and diminished value. Good luck.

Just say the word, Brody, i have an aluminum bat in the car... Of course, you should probably seek legal council, BEFORE you go anywhere, swingin' at anyone's heads... Email me if legal advice sounds good, i'll give my uncle's phone number, he'll point you in the right direction (no fee, of course)... Also, there are some attorneys on here, as well... Not sure who's in the area, though... i know how it feels to get no-greased, as a customer so i would definitely go out of my way to cause as much trouble for them, as possible...

So to add to my thread "Very Very Mad" on how westhampton coachworks dented my ferrari when it was in for service. The dent is about 5" around and there was paint missing that they touched up.

So I go there today. The owner is willing to do nothing and told me to basically go f_ck myself.

The owner and the employee that worked on my car got up in my freinds and my face ready to fight. The Trash employee kept yelling in my friends face saying how he wanted to fight him right there.

Very classy for a shop that works on ferrari's. They have their own collision shop and prob. would have cost them $50 to fix my car, but now they lost a customer for life.

I hope no one on this board ever uses them. I know a few people talked about using them for service or PPI's. DON'T

What do you guys think?
