Martin,

Not to exaggerate, but that GTO is the coolest car in the history of the universe.

Jens,
thanks. Figure it this way: The 255 will be 214,200 without the MWST. So same deal!

Ansgar,
thanks. I will be in touch with them this morning.

If I'm not mistaking, the yellow lotus elise featuring in these pics is actually a (or rather 'the') Lotus Esthi. They actually took an audi RS4 engine (2.7l Biturbo, 380hp) and dropped in in this lovely yellow elise.
The engine just barely fit in the small engine compartment. I believe the LOTUS name on the back is actually cut out to provide some ventilation, preventing the engine from overheating.

I'll try and find a picture of it. (engine)
This thing should be a blast to drive.

PS: I love the 288GTO too, hehe

Martin,

Phone number is: Germany 02533/534, Fax: Germany 02533/538.

If you want bigger pics, i have them in 1600x1200. The car looks very good, but i am not the best expert to rate the engine :-).

Martin,

Hope you dont mind me answering!
Brandes&Dschüdow is a dealer with a very good reputation mainly for Lotus here in Germany.
The 288GTO is a bit too expensive IMO but as quoted from them was the first ever imported to Germany and has only 28000km run which is not too much! Additionally it seems to have a perfect history.
Anyway as far as I can remember Bonham&Brooks auctioned one at the Oldtimer Grand Prix 2000 at the Nürburgring 2002 and sold it to a young british collector for 215000 Euro. So that was what I call a good price after all.
If you want to have a look at their homepage:
http://www.brandes-dschuedow.de/angebote/detail.php3?kat=&id=1271
Their homepage is quite good and also quotes their tel.number.
If you want me to have a look at the car: Will be at Münster somewhere at the end of the week!
Anyhow guess Ansgar would do you this favor as well!

Yeah, even as an owner of a 308GT4, I'd have to say that TRUE Ferraris have 12 cylinders.

PS, the 288 is my favorite Dino also. Probably more so than nearly any 12 cyl. car.

Oh, OK. So he lives in a different world than the rest of us... ;-)

As for the prettiest Dino....I would have to go with the 156. Small light, well balanced, aggressive looking yet in a good way, fast and succesfull....too bad they were all destroyed.

Prettiest Dino that is not a Dino. The european 308GTB. Sergio nailed it...lines that will never look bad.

JP, Frank's following the line of reasoning that the modern V8 Ferraris are direct descendants of the Dino line (which they are) and that they are not true Ferraris as they are cylidrically deficient. In addition, he's just trying to get everyone's goat.

By the way, Frank, I disagree. The F40 is the best Dino of all.

I take that back, the 246SP is probably the best Dino, but the F40 is definitely up there.

Frank,

Why are you calling the 288GTO a Dino. The car in question is a Ferrari 288 GTO, the last Ferrari to be called a Dino by the factory is I believe the 308GT4. According to a rep that I spoke to at the factory a few years ago, there were plans to introduce a sub brand line of cars under the Ferrari Dino name, but management rejected the idea on a number of reasons, one of the biggest being that NA didn't like the idea. There is enough confusion with the older cars regarding their names/numbers/authenticity etc, why would you want to add confusion to people looking at this site. According to the Ferrari Factory it is a 288GTO, not a Dino 288 GTO. You wouldn't call a 308 (other than the GT4), 328, 348, 355, 360 or the upcoming 420 a DINO. If you do well then you are adding a name that the factory dropped almost 25 years ago.

Jens,

Congratulations Rijk,

you are right. It is the Wiesmann Roadster MF 3,2 with the "old" M3 Engine (321 HP). Very nice car and very rare too. If you want to order a new one, there is a waiting-list for roundabout four years.

A Wiesmann Roadster? I think it has an M3 engine and a very nice interior with the instrument layout of a Lusso

Hallo Jens,

Hallo Ansgar,

Etwas Spezielles in Münster gesucht?

Ansgar, fourth picture from the top, there's a silverish/greyish car off to the right- what is that...?

This Ferrari is AWESOME and the color on it is just astounding...
The Elise looks a lot better at full scale than the 1:59 i have- i wonder why...? :-)
& the car you're asking people to guess at the bottom, appears to me, to be a Jaguar...
