Peter, Ferrari took about two weeks to confirm;Maserati about 3weeks. You might be able to speed both by telling your dealer your circumstances. Its worth a try. |

I've requested my dates already, I wanted to know how long it takes for confirmation... Steve, 25 days prior doesn't sound encouraging... Steve & George, did they give you your first choice, or did you have to change to your second choice? |

I did the tours in Sept.2002;they were a blast! We got to see and hear the new ENZO in the streets of Modena. We did the Ferrari tour first....takes about 1.25 hours. You will probably want to do the store, restaurant, museum and town so plan one day in Modena. Be sure to stay in the Modena area because morning traffic is very heavy. We took in Maserati the next day ...much better tour and about 1.5 hours long. Lambo was next with a half day required there. The Lambo tour was the best with respect to factory detail and their museum. The tours at both Maserati and Lambo were one on one, not a large group as at Ferrari. While in the area, I suggest you drive to both tracks...San Marino and Ferraris'. Since I am a motorcycle nut, we arranged to see Ducati the following day....pure excitement! Fact is, saw a copy of my 851 in the museum. The invites usually take about 2-3 weeks to get confirmed. I suggest that you call your Ferrari dealer and have him set-up the Ferrari/Maserari tours with the dates that you want. The others will have to be on your own, as I had some personal contacts do their thing. Good luck...you will enjoy! |

Peter, Toured the facility in September 2002. Basically you need to make arrangements through your local Ferrari dealer. They (Ferrari) will fax you confirmation and date/time about 25 days before the tour. Please feel free to see my tour report at http://www.enjoythemusic.com/milan2002/ferrari/ . Have fun and as always... Enjoy The Drive, Steven R. Rochlin

Those who have done them, how long did the process take, from requesting the dates to receiving confirmation? I plan to go in September, but I've been warned that they let you know at kind-of the last-minute, so it makes it harder for me to plan my hotel reservations. My sister and brother-in-law have advised me to start reserving now (from their experience when they went during a September from a few years ago). In addition to both tours, I'd like to take in some other automotive-related sites, so, does anyone have suggestions (other factories, museums, etc...)? |
