To summarize, M has titanium connecting rods. Different grille, rims, tail & head lights. Currently, there is a price premium over a 512TR. Ferrari of San Fransisco has the one I looked into. As far as I could deduce there is no maintenance/ reliability issues that differ over the standard boxer 12 testarossa series.

technical differences are that the M has titanium connecting rods & the transmission parts are a little heftier. The M weighs maybe 30 # less & has maybe 20 more hp |

hey Wayne! I know you from the Viper board. Here is some info... 1) The 512M is newer - the last of the testarossas... the TR is the middle run. The early ones were just called "testarossas" 2) The M has flush non-popup lights. Has ducts in the hood 3) M has a smooth rear end whereas the TR has the "grating" over the back 4) M is lighter by a little and has a little more horsepower 5) They only made 75M's for import to the USA - a rare car 6) M has "slightly swirled" 5-star rims, whereas the TR has (IMO nicer) 5-spoke rims 7) M is usually a lot more $$$ I have been looking for an M myself - but I am really picky and I'm gonna wait for just the right one at the right price. |

The 512M is a bit faster and raw. It has the front of a 355 (A little) and the grill on the back has the lights stickin out of it. The rear lights that is. |

Looking to add one to my stable. Unfortunately, I am not certain what are the differences between these 2. Can someone elighten me on the differences: inside and out... and don't forget things like reliability. Thanks.
