I picked up my 348 twin turbo from Norwoods on Friday. Drove it back home to Memphis on Saturday. It was unbelievable!
Wheels America dropped the ball and didn't have my two new front tires mounted and delivered as promissed when I arrived in Dallas. James and Bob patiently awaited their arrival and allowed me to wander the shop until they did finally arrive at lunchtime. Tom, the town's top turner of torches, took time to tell me about the design of the custom duct work and reasons for various flows of the ductwork. It was great. After the arrival of the wheels and tires, (refinish came out perfect), Tom popped them on the car. Now Funtime!
We took the car over to Bob's shop to dyno tune it and crank up the boost from 5 to 15 lbs and make some HP!! For the complete writeup on this see "550 hp-NOT".
The Dallas guys met me back accross town at a nice watering hole just accross from Norwoods later that night. They really are a great group. No trip to Dallas would be complete without a visit to these guys. I can't recommend them strongly enough! Rob and the guys: Thanks for the real hospitality! Sorry I was so low energy and bugged out early. It'd been a long, long day and I hadn't slept over 3 hours in 3 days. I'll buy next time!
The drive home was amazing. See the post "8 hours of laughter" for details.
Thanks again to the great guys at Norwoods for a great experience! I recommed without reservations.
