The problem is listed as rod bearing (not main bearing) -- looks to be FChatter Christian Kienle's ex-TR per the link in the eBay description. Funny to have "zero" miles on so much other drivetrain work...(did they blow it up on the post-repair test drive?)

I emailed him for more info. I will post it if I get an answer. Price is $17K and not met reserve. TR's are selling in the $50K's US so no point in paying $30K and then spending the same to fix it unless you plan on doing it yourself. cost of parts???

I saw that car on ebay last night and wondered the same thing. Import would be no problem because I'm in Canada (but on the other side!) Wonder what the reserve is? I see TR's sitting on lots here not selling at around $100K Canadian.

Obviously this woudl be costly to repair, but just how costly? Also car is in Canada. Import probs? Cost?
