Jerry, you're missing a point: An emperor is not given that title, he takes it! Napoleon crowned himself Emperor in a nation, that just got rid of a monarchy. Or look at some of the Roman Emperors.

So go for it, snatch the crown or the laurels!

As for the rest of us: Not even sure we vote for a King either. I think they too just declare themselves as such. Goes to show, that we're all too indoctrinated by these modern democrazies.
:-)

Come to think of it: In that respect the original Ferrari King was right. He just declared himself as such. End of story. Until his people brought out the guilloutine of stripping him of his anonymity.

Chris Parr,
actually it is a good thing you weren't
born in that era, F-cars didn't exist yet.

you'd be driving 4 hp 2 door 2 seater carriages -
but a plus side is no timing belt change needed

Y'all can fight about who is king & queen. I wanna be the official Court Chauffeur! That way, I get to drive everyone's Ferraris.

And Nika...whipping boy? Arggh! Shiver me timbers! Upload

It is actually rather funny to see how non-monarchistic people find it important to have a King and Queen.

I certainly would vote for Nika.............

I am not much for being a king, but an interesting part of my family history is that I am related to Catherine Parr who was King Henry VIII last wife......

Does not do me much good now, born a few hundred years too late!

Very subtle, DES, very subtle...

I think the Ferrari King candidates should ask themselves, whether they'd end up as Louis XIV or Louis XVI. Don't loose your head...

Queen? DES...if my SHOES could be my subjects - I'd have a vast monarchy! (snort chuckle)

Princess...hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...that would mean higher maintenance than a Ferrari! Jester.....no I look funny with bells on. Concubine is too naughty for me. Sometimes I feel like a whipping boy - but I'm a girl.....

No ...just a legend in MY OWN MIND so I'm a "Lady in Waiting" = Waiting for a Yellow 365 GTB4........oh yeah....(dreamy sigh)

i agree that Nika is the queen (she certainly looks like one:-)), however, i think we would first need to establish a criteria that constitutes a worthiness of being labeled the king... For example, if we were only going along the lines of knowledge, then Mr. Ausbrooks would probably win all the votes... But Bruce is Mr. Knock-a-fella, himself... And if we were going by who owns an F40 and is really cool about it, well, then, Chris would take the chips and Rob- Rob's just awesome even though he does live in Texas :-)...

Since we're gonna have a King & a Queen, we're gonna need a prince, a princess and a Jester, as well...

Who here would be worthy of such a name?

Rob
Chris Parr
LWayne
Bruce
Doody

Maybe it is time we vote for a king before another has a chance to deem themselves King again. Maybe Rob could even reserve the name for the member elected King.
