I could see Des trying to build a kit Modena; by the time it was done it would look like an Enzo.

Cool, except as Ron put it, the car would probably be glued to his fingers and possibly his shirt, his desk, his magazines, his keyboard...

If DES tried to build a model, he'd just end up getting his fingers cemented to his keyboard, and overspray on the monitor.

Pete, i've always considered models (cars, that is) that required assembly, but i wasn't cut out for that... i lack the patience, most of all to get involved in something like that... i have a very short attention span, even for the things i have a vested interest in... If i were, however, to try to put one together, it sure as hell wouldn't be a Sentra- i'm still trying to put my REAL one together...! :-)

If you get this excited about models (cars that is :-) ), you should make the kits. Good fun.

I have an exact (okay as close as I can make it) replica model of my Alfa Romeo 1750GTV, even had to convert the kit to right hand drive to do this ... but kinda cool having a model of MY own car.

They might make Nissan Sentra models ... er, I guess :-). I am sure they (say Tamiya or others) would make a good quality F360 model.

Ok- i know you (all of FerrariChat) and i don't share the same level of enthusiasm for these sorts of things, but i must share and since you clicked on the link to this thread, you must have some interest... :-)

While hopelessly searching for a 1:18 car that would appeal to my discriminating tastes, i briefly dropped by the 1:59 Hot Wheels section, to see if they had anything new... Much to my overwhelming surprise, they had something i don't have yet- something i was wondering about, just the other day- THEY HAD A 1:59 FERRARI 360 MODENA...!

WOOOHOOOOOOOOOO...!

It's black with a tan interior, it's just so awesome...! i saw the label on the side of the package, but not the car, because it was behind another car... When i saw it, my heart jumped...! i froze for what felt like a minute but was only a millisecond- "what color is it, holy crap, holy crap, they have a 360...!"
i finally grappled my trembling fingers around the package tight enough, so i could release it from the confines of that metal pole thingie that they hang from... it was mine, ALL MINE...! i was beyond elated, you have no idea...

ALSO, they had some Hot Wheels "HALL OF FAME" Collectibles called Milestone Moments; each one comes with a collector's card. i picked up two: one of them is a red Ferrari 156 F1 from the 1961 world championship, and there's a picture of the car being driven on the collector's card... The other one- are you ready Nika...?- is a FERRARI 365 GTB/4...! Ok, so it's metallic blue, not yellow, but still...! The collector's card has a picture of Enzo, himself on it... i feel so privileged...! All of my other cars are out of the packages, but i'm not sure if i should take these out... If they'll really be collector's items, maybe i shouldn't, i don't know... Any suggestions...?

i can't believe how i lucked out, though... Ok, so no 1:18s but still... Tonight was a very lucrative night...
