$80,000 worth of damages??? Sounds a little suspicious to me. Most carriers would have totaled the car and sold the rest for parts. Whatever your cause for bringing this to light, I think it is great that we all keep each other informed of F-s with secret pasts. |

John, Curious as to why you felt it necessary to post this??? I hope the person who bought the car knows it's history, otherwise this info would be very disheartening and not something they would want to read posted on the internet. Perhaps the car was "totaled" and he/she was aware of it. In fact, $80k worth of damage would have been enough to total the car by most insurance standards.

sounds like you have an axe to grind, fodee. the seller should have asked whether it had any accident damage or paintwork or the like. it'd have been fraudulent for your ex-partner to lie. a good PPI would have undoubtedly caught this if it was as extensive as you say. carfax probably would have had the accident listed as well. just 'cuz it's been in an accident doesn't mean it's not worth anything - it's just worth less. if he "firesaled" it (for whatever reason) the buyer maybe got a good deal on a slightly-loved car. what's the beef? doody. |

The car was fixed. It cost the insurance company about $80K. A friend of mine did the work and it is top quality. This is just not a low mileage cream puff. I think it had about 2900 miles on it at the time of the accident and not much more now. Someone is driving around thinking that they have this top of the line car. I was just wondering if the new owner was informed. Wouldn't you want to know? |

Why are you trying to screw your ex-partner so badly? How much did he spend to fix it up? |

I was told that my ex-partner sold his 99 blk/blk 355 spyder to someone in S. Calif, maybe in S.D.I'm sure that it was a good deal and he said that he had to get out of it fast. The truth is that he went backwards down a hillside and did 80K + damage to the car. It was pretty messed up. I'm sure that there are still some pine needles under the seats. Hope you are not the one with the car! |
