Joe that sounds great I would love to get a ride with Valentino :-) I see around 150 mph going into turn 1 at Pocono & come out doing around 135. I'm pretty much maxed out on my line as I can feel the inside rear tire losing traction, gonna have to see if Valentino can teach me some new lines through there.

Alan my 512TR has F50 brakes & around 460hp. I agree neither the 512TR nor Diablo is a great handler, although the 512TR isnt bad, its still no 308 or lotus in handling. but Ze Power, yes Ze power is nice!!!!! :-)

I do not know about Testarossas or 512s, but from my own little research as well as from personal experience, I think the current 360 Modena handles beautifully and is a most wonderfully balanced supercar.

Joe,
What does it take to get into the Pocono event? I have read and watched much about Valentino. Does he give rides to many people?

Im not going to the Moroso event. Ive been there many times before, but im in Arizona now.

As for beating up on the Lambos, if you do, its not due to your 512's being a better car, its due to you having more driving experience. As for Lambos not cornering well, i had a Testarossa, and ive driven many a 512, and neither of them are anything to be proud of in term of handling or braking. Is your 512 stock? Stock brakes, suspension, etc?

Bill, you'll probably get another chance at Valentino at Pocono June 28-30. I rode with him in a Diablo 6.0 two years ago. We was pushing 170 going into turn 1. And that wasn't the scarey part. His line throught the turn was the middle of the bank! For those that don't know. Valentino is a Lamborghini Factory Test Driver.

William:

Your Beast 512 would be a joy to see on the track. Wish I could be there. Please put the Italian Tractors in their rightful place.

From many of the reports that I have read so far, Lambos do not corner well. They are said to be basically straight-line cars.

I was there last year and I was extremely unimpressed with their driving skills. Unless Valentino Balboni shows up for the Lambo team they are about to get a Serious Azz whipping :-)

Cant wait to hear Will's report of the event. Perfect place to finally sort this debate out. I know at least at Cavallino a very high percentage of the Ferraris were out on the track... even the VERY expensive ones. It would be interesting to see the percentage of Lambos out on the track....

Allan, I just got back from Cavallino... If you had told me you would be at Moroso this weekend I would have stayed the extra week - definitely worth it to see you take that bad boy on the track!

I was going to mention something along those lines myself.

Heh Allan, sounds like a good place to finally sort this your Lambo versus any Ferrari out :-) :-)

Obviously must not be too far from your location, as you have been there many times ... and yes I know that you are into road racing not the track, but just a thought.

Oh well, will be interested in the race results.

Ernesto, you should go to the event, you may be able to take some pictures of some 360's to add to your picture collection.

Lambos won't show or compete :-), simple as that.

But I ownly posted this because I am bored ... it really comes down to driver ability, so go get them and have a good time :-)

Wll, I, for one, don't think you stand a chance against the Lambos. Have you ever seen how big those wings are? Your TR has no spoiler... that will be your downfall! LOL...

Going up to Moroso this weekend with Martin. Gonna send the Lambos home with their tails between their legs :-) They say a few Murcielagos will be there. I'm sure their owners will all be too scared to come out & play on the track with my 512 LOL
