The nephew in question is almost 3. Maybe I should buy the gas powered one for me. (Big Smile)

How young is your nephew? EXOTICAR.com has an awsome 360 but it's gas powered

I just sold my son's F50 electric car I bought from ToysRus for $1000, it was really cool and he is now definitely Fcar bent :-)

Check out: http://www.palosverdes.com/pedalcars/racercar.html

They're older style grand prix cars. Get one in in red and throw a couple decals on it and it'd look pretty good.

If you're feeling adventurous, there is a book by Tex Smith building hot rods, or something like that has a couple pages on how to create bucks from a 1/24 scale model, which are then enlarged to build bodies for 1/4 scale pedal cars. They did figerglass which is a lot easier than metalworking.

Nika: For some unknown reason(perhaps scotch isn't the best morning wake me up) I thought you authored the original post. My directly addressing you was in that context. Once I saw yours was a response, I realized there was an implication that you should see it before posting the info, when what I meant was one should see it in person first before buying it. The picture isn't very good and makes the car look better than it really is.

You are right - especially after my experience with the stickers missing from the Ferrari F1 toy!

Nika:

You should see it in person first. I was going to get one for my daughter, but elected not to. There are enough styling cues to where its passable, but that's about it. Moreover, it just doesn't look good, more like a bad carciture.

Not to start a flame war, but the old power wheels Lamborghini Countach looks pretty good and frequently found on ebay. Not a Ferrari, but at least get him into Italian sports cars.

I'm trying to indoctrinate my nephew at an early age--is anyone aware of a source for Ferrari bodied pedal cars? I have found one Formula 1 "officially licensed" car (which actually looks very cool), but would like something like a 360, 550, etc.
