My "hits" are based on unique visits. Some users may visit the site a few times day. |

What site? My brother is very involved with internet commerce/promotion; he owns dynamify.com/icomputerservices.com... What kind of applications do you work with? |

Kenny, I'm a software engineer in Silicon Valley. I work on web applications during the day, then on my website at night, which is now getting over 1 million page views a month from about 100,000 monthly unique visitors. But the site is not Ferrari related, unfortunately. |

To be accurate, you shouldn't really be using the term "hits". A hit is a single request to the webserver, whether it be a page view or even a request for an image. So "hits" is a pretty meaningless number. For example, I could put 100,000 images onto a single page, request the page once, and voila!, I just had 100,001 hits for the day. When advertisers consider advertising on a website, they are generally concerned with two numbers: (1) the monthly page views, and (2) the monthly "uniques", meaning the number of unique visitors you got in that month. This is not the same as the number of sessions, nor is it the same as the number of daily uniques. Anyway, hope I didn't bore anyone but this topic is near and dear to my heart because I am a webmaster myself. John |

I wouldn't mind adding your site to my links, but since your site is more general and not Ferrari specific, then I would prefer that every 16 year old with a Camaro isn't coming over here. However, if you see Ferrari people that would be interested in FC, then please send them over. I'll add your link next time I update that page. Thanks. |

Kenny, looks like post wise your site is getting the same or a few more messages posted. FerrariChat.com is getting about 5,000-8,000 messages posted a month. I just count the first time one user enters the message board for a session. Right now that's about 35,000 visits a month. If your number is 50 times that, you're counting the first visits and every time they click something or go to another page or probably take a breath, it's counted. I recommend the counter I use... web-stat.com, it's $5 a month and gives you cool statistics, you can click on the counter below to see FerrariChat.com's statistics. Kenny's website is http://exoticcarnetwork.com/ for those that want to know. |

We did this past 100k in less than 4 months, this next one will probably go in a little over 2 months. The hits for the past 3 months have also been only unique hits, not every refreash like when the counter first started. |
