Craig - I know nothing about this car, but I would advise TO ALL that any car "advertised" with 30k/major done, to before purchase inspect the repair invoice and talk to the tech that did the work. Alot of people I have met seem to feel that a TR 30k can be done with the engine IN-CAR. If they only do that then the timing belts (and alot more) HAVE NOT BEEN DONE. The TR owners manual has timing belt replacement at 52,500 miles and some "by the book" owners feel that this is sufficient, especially when doing it the right way would cost them over $3-5k. I have seen a TR 30k service order for $1,350 (and the book then stamped), which showed that the accesory belts had been changed (among other little things) the accesory belts are obviously not the timing belts. FWIW Good luck (if you are bidding) -Ben |
