NSX is a good car. Would be a great car with 2 more cylinders, but the whole thing was very nicely done I think. Really, the wing is the only part of that TR that I don't like (well, maybe if it were fitted with a 512M's interoir, that'd just be icing on the cake!) James- I think you're entitled <being> Hell, with a P4 you could probally get away with orange pants even. Best! Ben.

So BretM, what do you think of the NSX then? It's mid-engined, and rear-wheel drive, and Ayrton Senna himself sorted the car out much like how Michael Schumacher had a hand in sorting out the F140 prototype. The car was also better driving than the 348tb/ts that Ferrari unleashed around the same time, and UK's EVO magazine rated the new NSX-R (model year 2002) as their Car of the Year (the 575M with Fiorano handling pack was only third). Anyway, I agree on your feelings on the other Hondas though. Though not all of them used lawn mower drive engines, but the fact that their entire car line save two are front wheel drivers is a big turn off to me. |

Frankie, Norwood did build a twin turbo F50 for John Carmack. I believe the car is modified to run on Nitromethane or some similar fuel. The car usually sits in Norwoods shop. |

Yes, Bob Norwood did a lot of cool things with his (and his customer's) Ferraris. Read all about it at his homepage, www.bobnorwood.com |

And Hondas are stupid to modify not because they are Hondas, but because they are front wheel drive with lawn mower engines. You start with the antithesis of fast, no matter what you do it will never become anything noteworthy from a performance aspect. No joke, for $10k you could make my Jeep rape 90% of the ricers out there. That is why we make fun of Hondas. |

I think this car is sweet as hell and like the styling too. IMO get over the work of art stuff, my bike is a work of art, my hand is a work of art, a coke can is a work of art, etc. They're mass produced cars, do what you want to them. The TR will NEVER be a collectors car, it will never pull crowds like the 250GTOs, 166MMs, etc. which will be around forever considering their worth. Enzo Ferrari's vision was speed, to have the fastest car around, not to have any particular styling or engine setup, those were just the best they could do at a given time to achieve that goal of speed. |

Jake, Norwoods did build a 1000+ HP TR for Joh Carmack, the creator of Doom. He has since sold it to another gentleman in Dallas who comes to our Ferrari events there every once in a while. The car sounds absolutely awesome. |

Overall nicely done! Could have added more of the grating effect across the rear lower valance to hide the exhaust. I would love to get the plexiglass engine cover for my TR. Does anyone know if Koenig has them available or is this a one-off? The rear wing is reminiscent of the cars racing in the current Japan stock series.....should be integrated into the body.William, be sure to post pictures of your car...sounds awesome. |

Well, seems to me that you guys do not like the car ;). I agree with you, the EVO is not what I would call a beauty. But what most of the critics did not really appreciate is the fact that this car is faster on the straight line than any other Ferrari, even the Enzo. It just shows what is possible to develop out of a TR ... I don't think we have to discuss about the sense of such a modification. And I know from the owner that he's more often visiting the F-service than the meetings of our club... But...however...I was really impressed of the power. I never felt such a punch when accelerating. And that's what I like about it...

I would dig one of these cars if they did all the engine and chassis mods with the original body dimensions and appearences. Like the original Norwood TR special. |

I think there is a fair amount of posts refering to the car as crap . It is funny that it does look cheap, yet it probably cost heaps. I personally don't get it ... can't race it in any series that I know of, thus the owner was simply playing with his middle stick ... and by the looks of it went blind, before they stuck the rear wing on. Each to their own, but I would rather buy a single seater and go racing ... Pete ps: Andrew there is almost no such think as a perfect car, er, maybe a 250GTO or P3/4 ... the question is why do the mods when you have so much anyway! |

Guys im confused here. We give people crap for modifying or "molesting" their hondas, but when someone "molests" a ferrari its ok? A ferrari is a work of art. Not a honda. Works of art don't need improvement, only repair. Just a thought. Andrew |

I like it better than I thought I might! Have to say that rubber looks great on the car (really fills the wide and huge rear.) The wing is hilarious, needs to be about TWO FEET wider! :P) It should go in favour of a more race-worthy wing that can produce actual downforce at speed (think 355 Challenge.) Turbo conversion looks to be one of the best I've ever seen. Ajustable brake bias? this guy means buisness. I would love to drop it into second (er, maybe third with that much boost) and stand on it. PS: what are those little pipes next to the exhaust? Open wastegates? someone stick a pair of Civic mills in there? PPS: White header paint went out with orange pants. Best! Ben.

Guys...believe me one thing: This car is awesome! Never ever drove such a monster before. Some friend of mine owns one of these rockets (about 10 were sold here in Germany), made the way to Racing Days 2002 together with it. You won't believe what's going on when putting the pedal down. I don't think the car reaches the 1000 bhp range, but 800 are realistic. That's way enough... I shot some video of it, but only put 1 or 2 online till now. As soon as my website is back up (hopefully tomorrow night, damn f$%& traffic limit), check out my report from Ferrari Racing Days/Movies. www.car-elite.com |
