We were all amazed that it took you only 3 laps to get around me but then again my Fersetta is pretty good down the front straight!

Martin,

40 Mph!
Thats almost as fast as your hot laps last year at Moroso, I guess the Justin Bell driving school really helped....at this rate you will hit 3rd gear before the year is out.

Man,
I got to do this yesterday again, for the Sunday race.
On top the IRL showed up yesterday for pre-season testing. All the teams came in and started putting up the garages. Rolled equipment out and the cars. Very very cool.

The lights are magnetic. Plug them n the cigarette lighter.
Yes, I was driving the car. The pacecar speed is 40mph. Hard to do especially on the front and back straight.

That is way cool Martin. How fast do you have to pace the field? Don't they have to be going at least 100mph to keep the engine temperatures down? Do they pay you, or what kind of perks do you get?

Very cool - were the lights magnetic? Did they let you drive the car as Pace Car or was it someone else?

Just wanted to go down to hang out with some friends and ended up putting my Ferrari in as the Pace car in Saturday's FranAm race.
To top everything I was the one finishing first over the line. So theoretically I won the race becasue I got the checkered first, right? Well, no matter what you say that is my story and I stick with that.

What a cool day. will be out there tomorrow again. William, you should come out. They have several 45m sessions for the PDC. Cost I think is $225 for tomorrow. When the FranAm is not running the PDC is out there. Not a whole lot of cars tomorrow, so track is open.
I will be coming later and be the pace car again for tomorrows race. Also thinking of going to St. Pete for the CART race. FranAm is racing before CART and I may be getting the pace car spot again.

How cool is that?
