i don't think 135 on the 550s is off. though 110 is way off the reasonable scales, IMO. i'd peg it at 125-140, with some extreme examples going in the 140-160 space and likewise some extreme examples going in the 110-125 space. this ignoring uneducated buyers who might be buying some way-overpriced examples. doody. |

I'm curious as to how you came up with the 550 numbers - they seem a bit low to me, or am I wrong? --Dan |

Rob, your pricing structure is farely accurate looking at your prices i'd choose a late TR over a 355 |

I didn't report on the 348 Spyders or the 512 BB because I'm not confident in my pricing of those. My "F" guess would be $58-68k for 348 Spyders and $55-80k for BB's. I've noticed you'll find more of a range in the 12's. The 8's tend to sell within a more narrow band. The 355 GTB's would be similar to the GTS range, maybe $5k less.

What about 512 BB and 512 BBi's? They're listing for anywhere between $68k and $95k, but I'd like to know the sales prices. |

>>>I would bet anyone that the typical good 308 QV will sell for $32-34k. Perfect Concours would be at the top end $36 or maybe up to $38k <<< Agreed... a beautiful fully serviced '85' Bl/Bl QV 36K miles car sold here in Houston last Nov. for $35. It was a clients car sold thru a local lot. Asking started at $42, getting ended at $35 needing nothing. |

Frank: Two years ago I would have agreed with that statement, but collectors are starting to purchase concours quality 308QV's. I do not know why, but the better examples are in demand and exchange hands well above $40K. I know of at least a dozen 308QV's that have sold for more than $40K in the past two years. In addition, the 308QV's that I have seen at $30K or less were cars that were heavily abused, or had other issues, and not a car that I would want. I know of a sale pending on a 308QV with 20K miles for an agreed upon price of $51K. That is too much money for a 308QV, however, I would pay that much for a 1K mile example just so that I could show the car. |

My range should include up to some of the nicest cars, but the bottom end doesn't account for the really bad ones. You can buy 328's for $20k that need an engine rebuild. I would bet anyone that the typical good 308 QV will sell for $32-34k. Perfect Concours would be at the top end $36 or maybe up to $38k for something really special. My point of this is that most of us have been in a dream world and I'm very confident that my prices listed are the reality. |

Ken,whoever paid that much for a 308 had more dollars than sense ! A 308 is a $25k car max, if it is a concours condition with a recent service. |

Rob: Since I own a 308QV, I follow their sales very closely. Two 308 QV GTS's recently sold for $45,999 and $47,000.00. These were both low mileage concours cars, and are probably one of the few nice 308QV's left. The prices you quoted seem to be for 308QV's that need lots of work. I have yet to see a 308QV sell within your price range that was worth owning. |
