PS...whatever it's worth to anyone, my old car is solid. it makes no difference to me if he sells it or not, so if anyone cares about this car, I'll be happy to give VERY impartial advise.
also, it's not titanium/black/black, it's argento with navy/navy....this whole thing is weird.

PSS...that exact photo is my background.

HOLY COW! I didn't know he wanted to sell it. I'm very confused...??? I'll call him and ask him why he wants to sell it. He's only had it a few days. I think the caption about his wife might be true, his wife didn't know about the trade until the last minute and she wants a new boat. I hope he didn't sell me a lemon, my new car seems fine....very bizarre!

the ad gives the impression that he has owned the car for a while - also curious he would then sell right away - the ny sales tax must have been a nice chunck of change - that is if it was paid :-)

Congrats on a beautiful 360. That was one hell of a gorgeous 355 you traded, but somehow I don't think you'll regret it!

thanks for the thanks-es:-), people have asked about price on my new car, it's not that simple because the previous owner of my 360 wanted my old car(the 355) and we did a trade(plus money). if he gave me fair value on my car i basically paid about 170k.

the car is a euro, i called everyone that i could on the "euro" issue, basically what i found out was dealers and people that didn't know much about the cars said don't buy it. conversly, people that really knew ferrari and cars in general simply warned that it would fetch less at resale, other than that the cars are basically the same. i did a TON of homewrok on the issue and i feel that the whole euro stigma is a load of crap. to me it is a case where perseption has become reality and other than the warrenty issue the car should be worth only slightly less, not 30-50k. the car is not some cheaply made bangkok knockoff, i just hope that people are aware of the real differences and realize that the car is not just magically junk because it's grey market....thanks again.

Interesting to see the differences between the 355 and 360 ... quite a few. I think the 360 is a little racier.

Glad you got the photos sorted :-)

the interior is just standard tan, i like it! i never thought i'd go for the common colors, i usually like more odd ball stuff, but when i saw this car i fell in love.

Noel,

I think I know what the problem is. The file size is too large (number of bytes) because it is a bitmap. You should never use bitmaps (BMPs) as they just waste a huge amount of space. Change your camera settings or downloading on to your computer settings to save the photos as jpg format.

The photos will be around 1/10th of the size in jpg format. For example your photo is only 16k as a jpg, but 202.6k as a bmp.

Noel,

Not sure what you are doing wrong, but this is what I did if it helps. Computers can be so frustrating ...

I viewed your picture and using the Alt/Print Scrn method created a copy in Microsoft Paint, which I saved as Noels_360.jpg on my harddrive, ie. C drive.

I then wrote the message or post and selected the Upload Attachment button and using the browse button selected the Noels_360.jpg file on my computer. This caused a bit of code/text to become part of my message ... which turns into
the photo once loaded.

Hope this helps :-)

Noel's F360:

Upload

Beautiful looking car Noel, lucky you.
Pete
ps: Noel, the photo needs to be a file on YOUR computer so that FerrariChat uploads the file onto Robs server. You are specifying a URL of another site where the photo is currently located, thus FerrariChat is popping a new window and displaying that URL.

How do you get the photo on your computer if you have not got a file already:
1. Display the photo so you can see it.
2. Press Alt and Print screen together. This will copy an image of the screen to the clipboard.
3. Open Microsoft Paint and Paste in the image from the clipboard.
4. Modify the image if you want to.
5. Save the image as a jpg file on YOUR computer.
6. Now use this file to upload on FerrariChat.

Any picture you can see on your computer or Net can be turned into a file on YOUR computer doing this.

Hope this helps ...

Noel, what kind of deal did you get, was thinking of doing the same trade as you and wondering how much cash in addition to the 355. Yours was a little newer than mine but it will give me an idea.

Thanks,
Jeff

Noel,

Save a picture somewhere on your drive, it must be smaller than 640x640 (I trim and resize my pictures using Microsoft Paint). Click "upload attatchment", a new window should pop up. Click "browse" to find your picture on the C Drive and click "upload" in the new window. Then go back to the Ferrarichat window where you type your post and hit "Preview/Post Message" --- John

Cool,

I have a Euro Conversion 2001 Red 360 spyder/black top with tubi. Make sure you go ahead with the tubi, the sound is a million bucks (especially in a tunnel or a parking garage). ---- JohnUpload

i had a 355 F1 spyder and loved it. i wanted a 360, and saw this one on ebay. contacted the guy(cool guy), he wanted my 355+money, so we agreed on a price and did the deal. clean as a whistle. I love the car, it's WAY faster than my 355, the sound is not as good though, enter the tubi.

I just got her yesterday and thought I'd show her off a little. I spent 3.5 hours today cleaning/polishing/waxing, a labor of love. Also, I'm going to get a tubi later this week:-)
