Oh and make sure the radio has earphones or you still won't hear it and take a pair of ear defenders to put over the top. Very important though, take the defenders off from time to time and listen to those engines scream!!! |

All being said is very true. It's a great place to watch F1. Those street courses are hard to beat! Under no circumstances should you forget your earplugs!! It'll actually hurt to listen without them after a while. |

It's almost impossible to hear the commentary when the cars on track, the Circuit will normally have a radio station, find out the freq. and take a radio or you'll be wondering what's going on. If possible try to end up opposite a big screen, watching the cars scream past on your 150 yds of track is all well and good but you'll want ot know when cars are in the pits, see replays of incidents, see the start etc etc

Don't forget binoculars. They are sometimes really useful. |

Drink lots of beer , and perve at the lovely Aussie women. Seriously you will find that the Melbourne track has reasonably good viewing from almost anywhere. Why?, because there are nice grass mounds that you can stand on to see from (as well as the stands) The only thing I would suggest is that you get there really early if you want to get your 'favourite' spot, as the real keen fans get there heaps early and run like mad to get their spot ... I know I done it Wear a hat ... incase it is hot, and get some ear plus (you will need them) Pete |

I am leaving on Feb. 28 for Melbourne, Australia to visit my brother-in-law and family. The first F1 race of the season will happen when I am there. I have never been to a F1 race. My brother-in-law already has my ticket on turn 15. I am asking for some advice from the fans here. What should I be looking for at the track? Is there anything I should do to make the race more enjoyable? I would like any suggestions.
