Yeah, definitely... i drew for many years, but seemed to have lost interest, in my twenties... i worked with a few different mediums and drew many different things- still lifes, portraits, self portraits; i was heavy into surrealism, etc, etc... i can vouch that successfully drawing (or otherwise expressing) the lines, shapes, curves, etc. of a car are very difficult- Grant obviously possesses a natural talent not usually seen...Grant, i hope you're living out your dream... Talent like that is very rare...

HA HA HA...! That's unbelievable...! Everyone should look at this website... Hands down, that's the best automotive artwork i've ever seen in my entire life...
Thomas you have a tremendous talent, i'm extremely impressed... i'll have to go look more, later, when i get home from work... Very, very impressive... Seriously, since it's Ferrari-related, you should start a new thread for your website- the work on there is just incredible... Thanks for sharing... :-)

Mr. Ausbrooks...

The ISBN for the book in question is 88-85128-00-9, which i found here... (18th book from the bottom)
That site probably won't do you any good, but who knows- it just led me to Amazon.com, which is where you said you already were... The ISBN can be used to locate the book, just like the title, at any major book store (and some minor ones) & every library in the country... i tried locating it with both the ISBN & the title seeing as it's out of print...
i called my local library and they have what's called an OCLC, which is a country-wide database- if that book is in any library in the country, in English or Italian, they'll find it and let me know... If you can't find the book to purchase it, you can always take it out & photocopy every page... Or, although it's a bit unethical, you could take the book out, call them back a few days later and tell them you "lost it" and pay whatever fine and/or fee they charge (which is usually the cost of the book)...

i checked with Borders and Barnes & Noble, but not yet with Walden Books... i'm not sure if their databases span the entire country (or other countries for that matter), but if you don't find it with the other links supplied by others below, maybe trying those book stores in other countries might be a good idea (if you haven't done so, already)...

When the library calls me back, i'll let you know what they tell me... Keep us posted on your own results... :-)

EDIT
----

Ok, i started my post before the new guy and didn't see it- his info is probably a lot more useful- sorry... :-)

Welcome to FerrariChat, Thomas...

first off... i have this book in my collection.
While it is not for sale i'm afraid, maybe the following info is of help:

from the frontispiece:
Realizzione editoriale: Studio Anselmi, Milano
Tradusione in lingua inglese: Luca Turin
Fotolio: Reprocolor International srl, Milano
Stampa: Grafiche Mazzucchelli spa, Milano
copyright November 1988
Edizioni Grafiche Mazzucchelli spa, Milano
ISBN 88-85 128-00-9
distribuito in esclusiva in Italia
da: LIBERIA DELL'AUTOMOBILE
corso Venizia, 43
20121 MILANO

FYI the dust cover is the only page printed in colour (a top angle of the yellow 1969 512s
show car. The rest is entirely black and white printing, but nonetheless very thorough and
highly recommended. Picked up mine in the mid-nineties from Gentry Lane in Toronto
(back when it was an authorized Ferrari dealer).

Secondly (not to high-jack the thread) but i've been a lurker here for a long time and this is
my first post. Hope its a) a help and b) not my last... y'all are a great bunch and this is a
very enjoyable and fun site...

He also said to try someone named Ken Lewis 407-292-6363. Supposedly he has a lot of ferrari literature.

Ernesto, thanks also. I have all of those books already except I've never seen that 2+2 book by David Owen. I'm going to order that one just to see what it's all about.

The book I'm looking for went out of print a while back and hasn't been released in any new editions. I never would have thought that it would be this difficult to track down a copy, though.

Thanks Bryan,

Funny thing, I'm actually in the middle of writing Pete an email message right now and checking F-Chat at the same time! I'm writing him about something else, but I might as well ask if he has any suggestions while I'm at it. Thanks!

If you do a search for "Pininfarina" in www.alibris.com, you'll find about 12 books. None matches exactly the cover or title... but maybe they are translations/newer editions...

Barney and Gerrit, thanks.

I've tried Abe Books as well as Amazon, and a long time search on eBay, but had no luck with any of them. I've also tried: Libreria dell'Autodromo in Italy, Horton's Bookstore and Charters Motoring Books, both in the UK, and Editions Palmier in France. None of them are able to get this book either. Pininfarina was able to send me some photocopied pages from the book, but I really need to find the book itself.

Again, thanks for your help.

Hi
I normally do a search on http://www.abebooks.com but it drew a blank on this specific title. Lots of other books by same author though.

I know someone with 3 Ferrari Pininfarina books but none with that name. One is in English/Italian and covers 1950-1993. I'll keep asking around

Does anyone have or know where I can find "Le Ferrari di Pininfarina" written by Angelo Tito Anselmi and published by Mazzuchelli Editore in Italy in 1988?

It looks like this:
