Camera? Me? I woke up at 8.08am! Quick shower and I was there, but no camera...

I agree - Mitchell's GT4 is in *awesome* shape...

Well, since no one seems to have taken pictures, I guess we'll just have to get together again, huh? ;)

I'd agree that Mitchell has done a terrific job on his GT4. And lets not forget that 7000rpm after run on his exhaust! Now Mitchell, do you always drive it like that, or were you being a good sport for all of us ; ) You have one lovely GT4 there... even if it's not NERO ; D
Actually, it was pretty neat to see less than 1/2 of the cars Rosso!
Sound on the way, but no stills from me. Hoping Dan gots some?

Norm, you'll have to fill me in on your excellent adventure with Dan ; ) Actually, I imagine the stickers we're torn off the plates by his 550 ;D huh Dan?
Dan, you should definitely go for it. I was actually inspired by Yoshi Toda's plates (NERO308) and my wife surprised me with them at Xmas. Why don't you get NERO550, and force Norm to get a NERO575 ; )
Look forward to seeing everyone and they're lovely Fcars again next month.

Dan,

My Euro 550 was first delivered in Kuwait. The original owner brought it into Massachusetts and had Amerispec federalize it. When I bought it this had already been done. It will pass California smog tests but requires a special inspection ($2,200!)in California to document this before it can be licensed in California.

David,

It was fun sharing part of the ride home even with the traffic.

Steve,

Your plate has inspired me, and so long as Norm doesn't get it first (he has to get his registration all figured out, so maybe he'll get the plate too), I'm thinking 'NERO550' is a good plate idea. :D

Then again - who knows if Norm is going to be allowed to drive... 'Sir, do you know you have an expired registration?' 'I swear, I lost the sticker, and the proof of payment, but I really did pay!' 'I'm sure you did...' :D

"Dave and I drove back on Skyline toward the South Bay. His track experience was evident as he passed my 550 with his 355!"

Only because I could anticipate when you were going to accelerate, otherwise there's no way I could accelerate with your 550. Too bad about all the trafic, it could have been fun.

Hello All,
It was really nice to see Main Street covered in all those Ferraris. I might add that we had ACW's fantastic Titanium 360 F1 Coupe. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and hope we can schedule a gathering at least once a month in the future. Perhaps someone has another special route that we could all share?
Look forward to the next one already!

Steve
ps: will post Norms sound as soon as I remove his plates from the video.

Rick,

It was very interesting to compare notes on your euro vs. Mark's US-spec. Did you import the car yourself (ie purchase in europe and sought out conversion) or did you purchase it here already converted?

I arrived late due to another work related chore at 7AM, but I still enjoyed meeting several of you and drooling over the beautiful assembly of Italian sex appeal.

Dave and I drove back on Skyline toward the South Bay. His track experience was evident as he passed my 550 with his 355!

It was a beautiful day made better by the opportunity to drive "the beast" and share with others who love these expensive toys as much as I do.

Look forward to the next event. If there are South Bay people interested in another drive, contact me. I also plan on taking a drive with a more mixed car group March 16. Anyone interested?

Guys, it was great to put some 'names to faces' as Norm put it. :D Great to meet everyone, and thanks to Norm for setting it all up.

I have to say, the euro Cali Blue 550 was very different from Takao's 360. The shape makes the color as much as trhe color makes the shape, it seems.

We had quite the melange of exhaust - and a big thanks to Norm for the 550 ride. The CarGraphic exhaust is absolutely awesome.

And Ben - quite the drive....

Looking forward to the next one!

Poor Tako and Dan, I think we ruined your sleep patterns. It was nice to meet you guys and everybody who came this morning. It WAS early. Hope you all had fun. I think Ben drove the furthest: Petaluma. There were about a dozen or so of us with at least 9 Ferraris: 1 stunningly well kept red GT/4, 1 blue 360 Coupe, 1 blue 360 Spider, 1 red 348 Speciale, 1 Nero 308 GTS, 1 red 355 Berlinetta, and 3 550's (red, blue and black). Sorry if I missed any that were parked away from the main group. 3 Ducatti's parked next to us. It was Italian machine day. A great bunch of guys. Great food. Beautiful day. Stunning cars. Steve and I plan to meet again in about a month or so, We'll post another invite at that time. Hope even more of you can make it!!

Hi Norman, thanks, actually I was speaking of the Half Moon Bay muniscip airport, as I was thinking of flying in with a buddy of mine. Unfortunately WXBRIEF basically says FOG clear to the ground, and the Dutchess dosen't exactly have a Cat3 ILS with AutoLand (what the big jets use to get down safely even with no visability at all.) We can only get down to about 200feet as per FAA regs.

Anyway! I'll just drive down :-)

Take care all, see you in a few!

Best!
Ben.

Morning Guys!
The weather is looking terrific for tomorrow! I was out around the same time Norm and I drive out and the sun was shining, and very comfortable (60's) @ 7am (those of you with young kids know these are peek personel hours for Ferrari stuff) Just have to roll the car down the driveway so not to wake them up!
Just a reminder for those unfamiliar with the decent into Half Moon Bay; there is alot of morning fog, so please drive with care! Have fun, but be aware of the damp roads and the many small homes/driveways/possible kids/pets and such thru the route. At this time of the morning it is usually clear, but as representatives for the Ferrari community at large, I want to make sure that we enjoy the drive and no one gets hurt.
Really looking forward to seeing you all there!

Steve
ps: Norms Nero 550 coming up and passing you is worth the trip alone! His cargraphic exhaust is simply delicious!!!!
Come on out and have a look. Also, could someone bring a camera to share our good time with the rest of the guys at Fchat?

By posting here and keeping it at the top. That or we flag down every ferrari we see.

Actually, one thing I've considered (and I'm not sure how it would work, but for the m5 stuff it was good because only enthusiasts tend to buy an m5 anyways) is printing business cards for FC, making reference to the site and even a regional topic.

Ahh... Good question. Steve and I usually meet at this ridiculous time because the traffic is ultra light and we enjoy our drive much more, plus parking in front of the restaurant is much better. The primary reason, though, is that I usually have church stuff I have to do later in the morning. I'm certainly open to moving the time for subsequent meets. Do you want me to give you a wake up call? :-)

I've been talking to a couple of F-chatters in the San Francisco Bay area and we think it would be a lot of fun to get together and chat face to face and check out each others' cars! Steve and Dan and I have decided to get together this sunday morning at 8am in Half Moon Bay for breakfast. We'll be meeting at Moonside Bakery and Cafe at 604 Main Street. They've got great omlettes and pancakes. We'd like to extend this invitation to everybody here. The drive into HMB is quite nice, especially that early in the morning. We're hoping this might become a regular informal gathering of sorts. Come by and say Hi! Please respond to this thread so we have some idea of how many to expect. Please come anyway RSVP or not. Let me know if anybody needs directions. The 3 of us will be there for sure this sunday.
