I don't exactly get high off the scent, but as soon as my butt hits the seat and I turn the key...my heart rate increases, my breathing gets quick and shallow and my palms start to sweat. I sometimes laugh at myself and say "Good grief woman you've owned this car for over 3 years now! When is the honeymoon over?!" NEVER!!! HA! |

In that case this should've been titled: "Does your Ferrari have a wonderful, unique, scent, that you get high from every time you get a whiff of it?" |

I got to tell you guys you are missing the whole point here. Feet "SMELL" and FERRARIS "RUN." |

Yup....wonderful connolly hide smell from my 75 308 GT4 when it is cold, changing to a hot, oily, gassy, mechanical scent when the whirly bits get heated. Nice though......I like it (but I do lift the engine cover after every drive to check for seeps, leaks, flames?). |

Yeah I have that nice leather smell on the inside and that the-car-is-about-to-set-itself-on-fire smell outside. OK, maybe it's not gonna set itself on fire, but it is that mixture of smells you guys are describing. |

Yep, definately a different smell. I think alot of cars have their own unique scent. Ever sat in a old VW bug? I had a '69 and it had a unique scent as well. My Mercedes does too but that's strickly an interior leather smell. The Ferrari is more like you said: gas, oil, slightly burnt smell. I like it! |

Every car made has it's own distinct odor. I replaced the interior in mine a year and a half ago and it still fills the garage with the odor of new leather. |

I can't really describe her scent- something between charcoal and burnt carpet. |

Cause mine does! Not bad mind you. It just has a certain smell to it. The mix of oil, gas, coolant, brake fluid, and all the combusted products in between. Whenever I open the back or lift the tarp off the car I get a whiff of something magical. My Saturn has no character, but my Ferrari wears a wonderful cologne. Anyone else's car "smell"? |
