Be careful, the "loud" Challenge exhaust which Matt mentioned will get you pulled over on the street immediately. I have this exhaust on my recently converted Challenge car and it got very close to exceeding Summit Point Raceway's new SCCA noise restricitions (>105 or 108 can't remember which one). No way you can use this exhaust for street use. Regards, Jon 1995 F355 Challenge |

There are actually two types of challenge systems. One is very loud, somewhat similar to straight pipes, and the other is loud. As far as performance, I really dont think it will make a bit of difference for those who use their cars 'normally'. I have not had a tubi, but I have driven one on the track, and it emits a nice sound as well. If I were contemplating an exhaust system for street use, I would go with the one I find sounds the best. |

I have a Challenge muffler (made by ANSA) on my F355. I agree that it sounds lower relative to a shrieking Tubi. My dealer also said that the Challege is Ferrari's choice because of its better performance. The Challenge muffler has been measured at 98db from turn 5 to 6 at Laguna Seca (Yes, I was black flagged - mechanical). The workmanship and appearance of a Tubi is by far superior looking to that of an Challenge but, the muffler is rarely seen. The Challenge weighs just a few kgs. Don't know what the Tubi weighs. I'm unaware of any droaning with the Challenge muffler. I do prefer the lower sound of the Challenge muffler. |

I believe the Challenge exhaust is made by Ansa. Perhaps it is possible to bypass the dealerships inflated prices and buy from Ansa directly. I have heard both the Tubi and Challenge exhausts (although they were on different days at different places) but from what I can remember, the Tubi had more of a high pitched shrieking sound whereas the Challenge exhaust had more of a lower sound (perhaps it did drone more as others have mentioned) |

Hi Paul, Sorry which one droans more? I would have thought that the Tubi is louder around town. Cheers |

I had the tubi on my 355, it was great, a friend has the challenge, it gets to the droaning stage if you take too long of a trip. around town I still prefer the tubi, both both are fine. |

I was also wondering about the challenge exhaust on a F355. I've heard a few cars with Tubi on and would really like to know what the challenge sounds like before I order one. Anyone ?? |

Has anyone heard both systems and can tell me which one they prefer on a 355? I was told the Challenge has better performance, and is more suited to the car...but then that was by my ferrari dealer ;) Tubi sounds amazing, not heard the challenge though. |
