I saw a Spider at FoD Saturday and man, that is one good looking car, even with the top up. They really got that car right. |

Get the Spider, flip it, make $30K and buy a used 360 for $140K laugh all the way to the bank. The replacement would not be an option for me till the 2nd year.

I have heard lots of talk on this site about a 360 replcement. Who exactly has confirmed this with Ferrari? My local has heard no word of this nor have many others. I hate to let many of you down, but i do not think it is coming. |

My local dealer here in Chicago, says it going to be a while for the replacment. probably at least a year or two. it seems like nobody really knows the real deal. |

Definitely go for the replacement! You will be one of the first to get it, which will be great. Plus, you can then put your name on the list for the replacement spider which should come out 1 or 2 years after the coupe. You could then sell your coupe back to the dealer, probably for profit, and have the spider. Best of both worlds IMO. |

I've heard tales of the 360 replacement "420M Modena??" but Long Island and Miller swear they haven't heard anything about it. Chose to get a 550 and wait for the replacement instead of ordering my 360. Even if the Gallardo puts pressure on Ferrari, isn't the replacement Modena more than a year away, at best?
(P.S., heard from an exhaust maker that it will be lighter, and 460-480hp). |

Well, I understand the replaicment of the 360 is not due until 2005. The Stradale is coming out in September, which looks like an extreme car, maybe if you are racy kind of guy you may consider the stradale, 20 HP more and 200 KG less. |

I was in the same prediciment. I chose the 04. I am told that the difference is a little more HP (50 - 100HP) a slight styling changes (308 to 328 type of diff).
The first year of any model can be trouble, but I think that in this instance, I'll get the 04.

If you look at the difference in styling and performance between the 355 and 360 one might project similar increases in the 360's replacement. If you can get one of the first ones and your price (by doing repeat business with a Ferrari dealer) is sticker, I can't see any choice but the 360 replacement. I have my name in for the replacement as well. My 2001 360 has 2400 miles and has never seen rain,snow or parking lots and I will still upgrade when my number comes up! However who could argue with any choice you have. |

The Spyders are over priced to purchase now. I would rather go on the waiting list and pay retail for the replacement vehicle. and sell that at an over inflatted prices and make a profit..
Just order 2 replacement cars and keep one and sell the other.... |

I would wait for the replacement vehicle..

Can't advise on the money issue, but i would definitely go with the spider- unless you live somewhere that's cold, year-round... i have a huge problem with delay of gratification, but i think i'd be able to wait it out, to get the spider... What are your personal pros and cons of the whole thing...? |

I have a choice of getting a 03 360 coupe within the next few months and one of the first 360 replacement next year or get a 03 360 spider sometimes in August or September.
Which one makes more sense in dollars and cents? and which one would you guys take? |
