Whew...glad to hear it went well, Kelly! Congrats. Now you can read the weight restrictions in the 308 owners manual and not feel a pang of guilt for being 75% of it. (Hey, not being cruel, I'm 250 myself).

Soon you'll be down to 50% of it, and you can send me a "wish you were here" card. I'll wish I was.

Ive lost 33 pounds since Jan. 1 and have about 35 more to go. I was up to 265 and felt terrible.

Read "Body for Life" by Bill Phillips. This is a fantastic program. ITs not easy, but its no gimmick either. It works.

I need to loose about 80 or 90 lbs myself, so I know where you're at.

BTW, the redyed seats look good...

Very cool Kelly and best of wishes. I had to respond to this just because I thought it was cool how you kind of made light about it. "Fatman in a 308" keeps reminding me of Chris Farley in Tommy Boy (maybe Black Sheep, but I think it was TB). For those of you not cultured in the comedy of my generation, Chris Farley tries to put on a small Jacket and keeps dancing around going "Fatman in a little coat" until he proceeds to tear it over his back. Think, the 308 will be faster then too, 110lbs less weight is almost like swapping from the rubber US DOT anchors to the slick euro version bumpers.

I am seeking to purchase a 308 or 328 GTS by summer. I would like to locate a buyers guide and or meet any body who has lived with one of these models. I want to hear the good, the bad and the ugly. Please advise. W. John Gadd

Good luck with everything, Kelly. I appreciate the interest you took in my "new" '78 308 a couple of months ago, and all the tire advice. I look forward to seeing pictures of a leaner, hopefully-not-meaner you! Also look forward to meeting you and your sidekick there.

PS: loving the 308...loving, loving, loving the 308...loving it...whew!!!...loving it.

I've got no end of respect for those people who take a decision to change themselves in a postive way - particularly regarding weight - its never easy effecting a change in your shape but it's sooo worht (sorry if it sounds sanctimonious but I mean it).
Go KELLY!!!!! :-)

Kelly, my friend, I wish you the best, though I hate to hear you're having to resort to surgery as a last resort. It looks like you've gained weight since you were up here in Huntsville! We'll be praying that you are fortunate enough to avoid complications, since the surgery DOES work and you'll be healthier in the long run if nothing else has worked for you.
