I am just wondering. If you buy one of these European cars with no warranty, what do you get for it when it is time to sell it?

I understand that you may pay $135K for a euro F1 coupe now but it will be priced to sell for a lower number when you go to get rid of it also. It may also be harder to sell than a US car.

I have seen a couple of 2001 US 360 Spider F1 cars with good miles (under 4,000) and good options for the $210K to $215K range. This is a lot lower than the $250K-$275K that was being asked just 9 months ago.

If I were to spend, say $205K-$210K for an F1 spider (US) now and sell it next year for $185K-$190K it will have cost me about $20K to drive and it should sell fairly quickly and I will still have a warranty and factory service without a hassle. If I spend $150K-$160K for a Euro F1 Spider now and sell it in a year for $130K-$140K, it will cost me the same $20K overall with no warranty, a hassle to get factory service and maybe longer to sell because of it being Euro.

It does not make sense for me to do the Euro.

It's just a car, the reason they are not taking orders is production is sold out. Order a 420.

If you doubt 360 prices will come down take a look at the latest FML. Asking prices for a 355 Berlinetta range around 75 - 80 K, Spider about 20K more. Keep in mind most cars sell at a 10 -20% discount off asking price.

A 360 is not a P4. Look at the 456 - you can get a nice low mileage example for 80K now.

Can't Drive, you sound like someone with several Ferraris for sale or invested.

At least this is not as bad as the salesman in Scottsdale, AZ who tried to convince me that $280,000 for a 360 Spider was a bargin.

This is No Reserve, so it will be sold:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2404444709&category=6212

$135,000 for a Euro 360 F1 Spider seems to say the prices are indead dropping.

Say $15,000 for US conversion and shipping.

This would then be $150,000 (or slightly higher) for a 360 F1 Spider.

Seems like a good deal to me, especially for someone who wants to drive it.

As mentioned in another post, there is a 2002 spider with 200 miles, asking 205K in Salt Lake City. Good color, Red w/tan interior. Prices are softening.

I am all for you guys, bring on the lower prices, problem is the dealers are no longer taking any orders. Anyone who has actually put down a deposit and had it accepted in the last 6 months speak up, I would love to know where to go to do it again, for several of my friends. Problem is they cannot be bought, the people that have them, are not going to part with them unless then can get some $$$. The cold fact is that cars are sold out, they still go way over market. You may see some european, money way up front and out of the country pipe dreams that carry no warranty, but at the end of the day, a stripped down spider with 1500 miles, and 2 years old, is $225 all day long and with daytona power seats almost $6k alone, options do add up. The car is better than advertised, dealers want to sell but a few bucks off is all you will get, they may even climb again after the sadam falls. I wish it were not the case but I am afraid it is. Anyone who has really done a deal, not just pretending, speak up. I would love to hear about, include the dealer name so I can send my friends over. Sorry, sad but true. The car is killer. I did see one on ebay, in Hawaii, in weird color that you can get for $225k but after you pay for landing it in a real world city, after sales tax, etc. Its still big league way over sticker. And it is still snowing in most major cities, when the sun starts to shine, I predict $240 to $250 will be a real world deal for people really in the market. Its incredible pricing but the car is incredible.

I've noticed that too. I think the market is going to get even better for buyers.

I noticed in my recent copy of the Ferrari Market Letter that there were over a page of 360 Spiders listed for sale. The numbers of other newer models for sale were way up as well. It looks like we are at the beginning of a very good buyers market !
