Ton,

There are definitely K&N for the 328 available.
They improve airflow thus allow to let more air reach the engine. This means that the engine "breaths" better and puts out more hp.
Normally a hp gain of around 5-10hp could be reached by the new air filters.
Another advantage is that it doesnt need to be changed all 10000km like the stock so on the long run they are even cheaper!
For the costs of around 70 Euro this is an extremly cheap "tuning" measure. Combined with sport exhausts, test pipes you can enhance the power output of your car without really touching the engine (like with engine tuning!).
Some people say that K&N might cause engine problems due to the fact that more dirt could get into the engine. Never actually met somebody who had that problem so I wouldnt care since even official Ferrari dealers install them if you wish (Most probably they wouldnt do if there is the danger of engine blowup!)

Suddenly everybody seems to speak German! :-)
Das is sehr gut!

Are there also K&N filters available for a 328? Would it improve something?

I went to the Ferrari days at Dijon and it had only a hundred or so Ferraris in the parking but im betting there will be much more Ferraris at the ring for thechallenge days . Will be worth a visit if im free.

Martin,

Yeah I am back on the road with a repaired Transmssion, Tubi test pipes and Tubi Sport exhaust and K&N! Sounds like hell now (Or even better!)perhaps even a little too loud for the police I fear!
The estimated 30hp plus really are a realistic guess! The car revs much quicker and seems to breath easier.
Nevertheless I have lost a whole bunch of Euros again but I am happy that my problems are done now.

Jerry,

Werent you the one who asked me where I live in Germany? Nevertheless if you should be in Germany around June you should seriously consider our european Ferrarichat meeting. It takes place at the Nürburgring as well and will be great fun...

Jay,

This is discussed at the moment in the european section.
There will be a Challenge day in August 2003 with Challenge and historic challenge races but this is not to be mistaken for the Ferrari Racing Days.
This event is only held every second year so the next ones will be in 2004.
The Challenge days will be quite nice too but there wont be 1000 Ferrari like with the Racing days. In fact only some hardcore Tifosi and owners are showing up to watch the race (The Racing days 2002 were attended by over 50000 people last year as comparison!)
Sad news indeed but there are also the Modena Motorsport event at the Nürburgring which is normally much more fun to attend as an owner.
(Times and programm see at european section!)

Last year I recall seeing some absolutely incredible pics taken at the Ferrari Days gathering in Germany. I believe it was held during late August or early September, if I'm not mistaken.

Does anyone know the date for this year's gathering? This is something I'd really like to attend. Thanks in advance for the info.
