I always drive my car spiritedly but usually stay below 6000 rpm with the thought of not putting so much wear and tear on engine ($$$$$ to rebuild). I recently had a chance to share rides with Michael Niles ( his TR, My 328) and he showed me the enormous exhilaration/power of going to redline--WOW -- my car felt much quicker. (thanks MN) Is there any concern that I may be accelerating time to rebuild/or major problems occasionally going to redline (never above) vs staying in 6000 range? |
