Fritz,

Actually I am living in Germany but to be honest I have never heard of this company.
Still wondering how they install the cats inside of the muffler and why this should give you extra hp but I am no tech freak so it might work...

question to the tubi owners:

does anybody have experience with the "lenz powercat"?
http://www.lenz.de/LenzPowerKatFerr.htm

jens:
theyre based in germany/munich, maybe you know them...

i want to have it installed in a tubi which i want to purchase for a 328 GTS cat-version.

but im not sure if i pay that few extra hp with a "tubi-plus-cat"sound that maybe cant compare with the tubi with test pipes or the catless tubi version.
could anybody discribe the difference ?

Ton,

If you would have driven faster and reving up the engine more you even would have woken up the neighbourhood of the other villages around
:-)

Yeah that's right!
I went to a party in a small village yesterday and woke up the neighbourhood while I was driving slowly through the narrow streets.

Tubi rules!

I have a 348 Spyder and you can really hear it inside and out. What a great addition to an already great car! Congratulations gentlemen.

Enjoy! Your neighbors will hear you coming before you even get in the driveway.

Jens,

Congratulations on your new Tubi! As you know I have a Tubi on my 328 and I am absolutely in love with the sound! I hope that we can meet this weekend so that we can hear the difference between the 328 and 348 Tubi!

I just got the Tubi test pipes, the Tubi sport exhaust and the K&N air filters installed in my 348tb (1990).
Wow what a difference! The car revs muchs better and quicker.
Strange thing is that inside the car with the windows rolled up you dont notice too much difference in sound volume compared to stock. Its of course a little louder and the frequency seems to be lower but if you stand outside or roll the windows down it definitely sounds like hell: Very high screaming with a raspy undertone. First it shocked me a bit since I never expected that it would be so loud because with the windows up it was rather quiet. This seems to be great for long distance travel!
What I particulary like about the new system is that it reacts so quick. You can actually really make the engine "bark" when not moving and reving the engine. This seemed to be only possible with carbureted cars so I am extremly delighted that something similar can be done with my 348 now.
All in all really an investment that pays of especially with the 348. The 30hp plus which John J. Stecher tested with the same combination on a dyno is definitely realistic. Strange thing is that I have the feeling that the car is lighter and more nimble now although the weight reduction should be around 30kg maximum so it shouldnt be noticeable.
Concerning the sound it really is a racecar now. Just hope that police doesnt stop me one day.
Only thing I couldnt notice yet are flames coming out of the exhaust but perhaps this is just a little bit too much in legal street traffic :-)

Con saluti cordialissimi,
Jens Haller
