I was at Ferrari of Washington in December, and one of the service techs took me back to separate garage beside the service bay, and there was a 360 that I believe was that color. I had never seen one before in that color, and have not since.
There was also a 333 SP in there, that was a rare treat! It was partially disassembled, the tub was on a lift and the engine/tranny and body panels were off to the side.

PPG is now Ferrari's paint supplier. They have all colors.

I found this car on the web, the owner claims to have painted it in Fiat Rosso Bordeaux. Considering Fiat's involvement in the Dino Cars I would bet it is the same color. I have a contact at FIAT that I will see tonight and I will ask him if he can get me a paint code if the one I provided earlier does not help.

I doubt a dealer will have a sample, all colors Ferrari has used over the years have changed names from time to time. Titanium last year was just like Grigio of the late 80's and now Titanium is a lighter Azzura (silver-blue).

www.dinoregister.com lists all of the colors.

It lists Rosso Bordeaux as:
30-R-351 Rosso Bordeaux Dark "Wine" Red

I hope this helps. Algar had a 1974 recently that they had listed as rosso bordeaux, you may contact them for a picture.

OK, it appears the Rosso Bordeaux was a color availble for the DIno 246. Does anyone have a photo of a car in this color?

If I walk into a ferrari dealer, would they be able to get me a color sample?

Red.

Yes. I bought the car in San Jose, and Mark at Veloce Speedesign did the 30k service, installed an electronic ignition, and new stebro exhaust.

I am very happy with the quality of his work.

Dom, the closest there is to this color (I believe) is Steve Tidwell's 250 Lusso (check So Cal section Contact List)

I got the heritage certificate for my 1975 308 GT4, and it lists the original color of my car as Rosso Bordeaux, 20-R-351.

The Original Ferrari V-8 book does not list this color as an availble color for the 308 GT4 (or the GTB/GTS, etc).

The color on my car currently looks like Rosso Dino, it has a very orangeish tint to it. In certain lights, the color does look orange. I imagine a Bordeaux color would be a deeper red.

Does anyone know anything about this color? Any examples of cars in this color?

Thanks,
Dom
