I leave mine in Sport Mode most of the time. But the manual states there is no real advantage with the Sport Mode unless your shifting above 7K.

Its an interesting question... is sport mode harder or easier on the clutch? A case could be made that normal mode is slipping the clutch a bit more to make the ride smoother for the passengers... at the expense of clutch wear. Or it could be normal mode was designed specifically for maximum clutch life. Not sure the real intent.

Thanks for the feedback. Now it will be 90% sport mode.

Thought it would be harder on the clutch if left in sport mode all the time.

Bart,
I don`t feel there is any problem leaving it in sport mode all the time.
The ECU compensates for all variables with the engine and gearbox operation and will protect from any damage.
I would though suggest that the engine be at operation temp before selecting the sport mode. It is not necessary, but I feel it will prolong engine/gearbox life to let the engine warm up before stressing it.

Best regards, Jim

Separating F1 and suspension systems would be nice. Also, the clunky auto mode is totally unnecessary. For the next car, they should eliminate the auto mode entirely and have normal, sport, and race modes.

Usually, I switch to sport mode once I've cleared traffic.

I leave it is sport mode 90% of the time.

I also wish they had two separate buttons, one for the suspension setting, and another for the shiifting. It would be a great improvement.

I sure hope not because that is what I usually do. I wish at times that the suspension stiffness was not tied to the sport shift setting and instead on a separate button.

Would it be a problem to leave the F1 gearbox in sport mode all the time?
In normal mode the shifting is too slow for me and not so smooth as in sport mode.
