Bought a keyring at the Montreal GP last year. It's not Ferrari, it's one of those Williams rings that has a small cable looping through what looks like a cylinder head. Anyway, the girls behind the counter were extremely bitchy, so when I asked for it, I just pointed and said "I'll take one of those c**krings." The looks on their faces has prevented me from replacing it!

Jay,

Fob doesn't stand for anything (that I know of), its what we (americans at least) call the little trinkets that go on a keyring. I think they used to refer only to the leather pieces added for decoration, but refer to anything added to a keyring anymore.

At the risk of sounding stupid I will ask the question...I keep seeing FOB when refering to keychains, what does that stand for? I know when I hear it I'll know what it is but I just can't figure it out:-(

My work and everyday keys are on the right with ALF and Edward the train engine from Thomas.I do not carry the remote for the Sebring on my everyday keys because it would get crushed during the day. My Ferrari keys on the left have the fob wrench for the Cavallino tire air valve caps along with my NEW remote power door lock fob.

I'm not to worried about it. If you go through the effort of going through Ferrari NA(who would definitely ask for other info on the car that you supposedly own) and somehow manage to get my VIN# and other information, then you find my car (randomly parked somewhere in a good place to steal) which would have to be either unlocked (alright...) or you would have to break in. I think you would have an easier time simply hot wiring it.

Bret, it is very easy to read your keys numbers in the picture. Don be suprised if your car is not there anymore when you leave it :-( I am not sure if your insurence company likes that, show it woldwide.

I was just done taking some shots of the jeep (I think, can't remember) and had the camera so I grabbed the keys and threw them down on the WSM which I was using to check clearances with before I took the engine up to WWoC to have them check out the liners. I don't like clunky things at all so that chain works perfectly, the keys fold back kind of into it when I put it in my pocket so it is all very neat.

I have a hammered fob with a ferrari badge on it connected to a black leather strap. Very unusual. Got it at the Drivers Seat.

Hey Bret, that is exactly what my keys look like. I have a Capitol Realty key chain on my VW keys. I hate having a big wad of keys in my pocket.

i really dislike carrying keys. my home is remote and keypad access and my office is keypad and card access.

i really dig the new R230 SL500 keyless entry system mercedes came up with. very very slick stuff.

i don't have a keyring. i just take the key for the car i'm going to drive that day and leave.

has ferrari "gotten with the program" yet on the current models to get the fob integrated with the key (audi, benz, porsche, etc.)?

doody.

I have two keys for my 1984 308 GTS QV one for doors, gas wing and one for ignition both are on a leather Ferrari key chain. The key chain was given to me by a neighbor who used to own a Ferrari at one time, but now has sold the car for a boat. He now lives in Key West, Florida.

I have two keychains. One has a door key, an ignition key, and pewter Ferrari logo on the ring. The other has my daily driver key, remote, house keys, office keys, safety deposit key, key to my wifes car, etc etc. Guess which one I'd rather carry?

My keychain is the alarm for the 360. Nothing else getting in the way.

The Ferrari badge keyring is on the keys for my Pathfinder...

My original keys (Neiman and Safe) are on the original Ferrari badge keyring. The duplicate keys are in a Ferrari leather keyholder.

What kind of keychains are you guys and gals sporting? Both my Ferrari keys and my work van keys have Ferrari badge keychains and so do the keys to my wifes Grand Vitara.
