I would prefer to not have my information made public. There are only 250 cars or less in the US and if someone wants to boost the car. All they have to do is point and click. |

Hi.......... Unfortunately, I can not answer your question, as every Boxer in the country is not listed in the database at this point in time. Complete coverage is only a dream ! In fact, I only have about 40 entries in the database now, after years on the Web and exposure in the FCA newsletter and Cavallino magazine. Slow progress !! By the way, the database registration form contains a "confidentiality option" at the top, for those owners with some concern about public display. Of course, anyone can register a car without providing any personal information; there are no "required fields", not even the serial number. Frank......... www.masiarz.net/bb_resource |

Now that I have registered, how do I get to see how many Boxers are in the US? I don't ever list a home address, just a business or post office address and that takes care of everything...but i am not paranoid...just private |

we have had this discussion in other threads - I agree that it is not a big deal and if someone wants to find you they will just follow you home from a dealership or met up with you at a FCA event. On the other hand - many people are concerned about this. If I were you I would keep it open. |

Hi....... Perhaps paranoia is the reason that there are so few members of the Berlinetta Boxer database, compared to the number of these cars on the planet. I could make the database a secret archive, only open to a select few people. On the other hand, what about the members of this site who list all of the cars they own in their profiles. If Boxers ever become a real target for car thieves, it would be easy to locate any owner in any number of ways. In addition, almost all of the clubs have membership rosters with ownership revelations, along with addresses and phone numbers, and many states sell motor vehicle registration databases to anyone with a few dollars and a knowledge of the resource. Have many Shelbys and Cobras been stolen since/because of the publication of the two volumes of the Shelby American Automobile Club registry ?? What do you think about it ?? Should a register be a secret archive ? Frank......... www.masiarz.net/bb_resource |

Doody: Do you think that someone will search us out and steal our Boxer? |

maybe i'm just a tad more paranoid than the average joe 'cuz the Internet is what i do for a living, but i think you guys (owners, hoster) are taking real risks publicly listing names and addresses of owners of exotic cars. the registry is undoubtedly a great resource, but it doesn't have to be so pants-down. my two pennies, fwiw. doody. |

Hi..... Check out: www.masiarz.net/bb_resource for a Berlinetta Boxer register/registry. At some point, I hope to have all of the Boxers in the world in the database. It should be easy to divide the database into country subsets. There is a list of Ferrari model registers at the back of every issue of Cavallino magazine. Frank........23005 |

Is there such a registry for US owned Boxers, or would it be worthwhile to start one... would be nice for someone to accumulate all the info as much as is available on Boxers currently owned in the United States... |
