The gas struts on the hood of my 348 were well past their sell by date. Unfortunately the broom had to be given a new duty in holding up the hood whenever you needed to keep it open.(Hands up who does the same!) I was ordering some parts from Ferrari anyway and decide to ask how much they were - Expecting no change form �100 - I was pleasantly surprised at just over �20 each! Now my hood has a new lease of life! - Especially when the engine is warm and the gas heats up - pull the trigger and the hood shoots up! - (Might even need a bump stop on the back of the roof  ) It never ceases to amaze me on the variation of prices for the spares.
